having a hometown is such a fucked up concept. i grew up here so i do not want to stay here anymore. i miss it when i am away but once i am back i realise why i wanted to go away as far as possible from it. i am familiar with every corner of this place i did not realise when it slowly changed into something unrecognisable. i would probably like to be buried here but i'd rather die than live here

I love this technology. It lets me actually understand what is going on and see how one fencer is able to get through by taking advantage of their opponent's large, open swings by tightly controlling how they move their own sword in smaller, more controlled circles.

Just an FYI—the original intention of this post was to challenge the way people say only friends, as though friendship is somehow lesser than other forms of love. As if being deeply known, cherished, and chosen by another person could ever be a small thing. Normalize profound platonic love. Some of the most fulfilling, transformative, and enduring relationships we will ever have are friendships. 🫶🏼

Please slow down this year. Please don’t live another year in fastforward. I don’t think any of us can take another year of that. Let’s learn to slow down, learn to brush our teeth slower, learn to eat slower, learn to look around more, learn to unclench our jaws and drop our shoulders, learn that this is not a rush, no matter how much society wants us to believe it is. I absolutely refuse to live another day under the palm of urgency, like my worth is measured in how quickly I can move, how efficiently I can exist, how much of myself I can compress into something easily digestible. I will take up space, I will need things and want things, I will be a human being this year, not just a ghost passing through, not just something that makes sense to everyone else. I’ll be as much of me I need and want to be.
