Some nights I wish I could go back in life. Not to change shit, just to feel a couple things twice.

Truth is I’m still sad about what happened

When bone breaks, it undergoes the process of mineralization where calcium builds in the fracture site. In the time the broken bone takes to heal, it proves to be even stronger than the healthy bones surrounding it. When people break, they do not break cleanly. They shatter with the force of it, an explosive mess of tears and screams, they break like glass colliding against asphalt, leaving behind fragments of shards that cut everywhere. People break like bones do, I think. They break under the pressure, under the pain, and at times it leaves them bleeding.  But people also heal like bones do–in their moment of brokenness, in their most vulnerable, they are stronger than any other person surrounding them. Agony has left them crumbling into nothing more than broken bones yet you witness them standing back up again and again.  So bear the pain. Bear the ugly fractures and the cracks and be anything but ashamed of it. You may have been broken, yes, but you were never anything else except strong.
