To the one I loved: Thank you for loving me. Thank you for showing me devotion, appreciation, selflessness. Thank you for showing me that love is not always enough. Thank you for wanting more, so that I could learn to want more, too. Because for the longest time, I only wanted you. I would have given up anything if that meant forever with you. Maybe you will find another love like me, but I do not know that you will. I am not sure there is another soul in this universe who can make my eyes twinkle or my heart shake or my mind wander like you can. I still love you. I cannot imagine a day that I will stop. But this is life. Life takes. And takes. But it also gives. I think I have been so focused on the taking that I have not really appreciated all that it is giving. Maybe you were just another season in my life. Maybe you will pass and I will forget. Or maybe you won’t. Maybe you will always be here, in the corner of my mind. Maybe you will come back. But none of that really matters. What matters is now. I hope you are happy.

You are not the one for me but you are the only one that knows me so, is there someone for me if you are the only one who understands my soul?
