Summary:

Vi knew this wasn’t a good idea. She had extensive training in hand-to-hand combat, boxed since she was a kid, and could execute a takedown in her sleep.

Caitlyn was a civilian; whatever she learned was probably from a one-off self-defense class. Not a bad thing, Vi was always quite vocal about her belief that the class should be mandatory for all, it was just…not the same as the vigorous teaching Vi was subjected to.

Even with that in mind, Vi trailed behind like an obedient puppy chasing after a treat and Caitlyn was the one dangling it. Or maybe, she was the treat. No, bad idea.

As they stepped onto the mat, Caitlyn and Vi assumed their fighting stances.

“You sure you want this?” Vi asked, giving her one last out.

Caitlyn only grinned. “Don’t go easy on me.”
