One thought I have when I watch fans interact with a BL show is the way people kept overlooking the Top's fault and blaming Bottom, just like the way in a straight show people keep idolizing the toxic male character. It is an intriguing yet disturbing fact.
Bottoms are treated like women, crucified and criticized for every minor fault, while the tops get away with most of the shitty things they do, just because they are, what, handsome? They are the ones who get the second chance and the benefit of the doubt, while the other person is expected to forgive everything.
Recently, I watched similar things unravel in the comments and posts regarding the BL series Don't Be Too Emotional. I feel like Little Jane is getting unnecessary hate from many. If you think logically even a little, I'm sure that many will understand that this amount of hate is unnecessary, especially if you can forgive Big Jane for the shit he pulled; clearly, Little Jane also deserves a pass.
Also, people don't seem to grasp the idea of consent. No means No. Doesn't matter if the person making unwanted advances is hot or not.
