Bottoms are treated like women, crucified and criticized for every minor fault, while the tops get away with most of the shitty things they do, just because they are, what, handsome? They are the ones who get the second chance and the benefit of the doubt, while the other person is expected to forgive everything.

Recently, I watched similar things unravel in the comments and posts regarding the BL series Don't Be Too Emotional. I feel like Little Jane is getting unnecessary hate from many. If you think logically even a little, I'm sure that many will understand that this amount of hate is unnecessary, especially if you can forgive Big Jane for the shit he pulled; clearly, Little Jane also deserves a pass.

So... here goes another prompt in hope that someone will write it.

Stiles is the secretary to CEO Derek. They have a very professional relationship. Eli is Derek's ten-year-old son. Derek loves his son but has a complicated relationship with him because his mother was a crazy psychopath who killed half of his family (Kate). Yet, Derek still tries his best to love his son and answer his honest 'where is my mom' questions. But it is not going great, and Derek doesn't know what to do. He is also super busy, which adds to his guilt. But somewhere in his head, he thinks that for the past year his relationship with his kid has been slightly improving. Because Eli is calmer and acts more lovingly towards Derek and has lesser demands for his mom.

So one day, when his meeting got canceled, he decided to go to the sports event at Eli's school to surprise him. He and his bodyguard Boyd are in the stands. He sees Eli on the track preparing for the race. Then he sees Eli look in the crowd and wave enthusiastically at the stands. At first Derek thinks that Eli has seen him, but when he looks, he sees that Eli is waving not at him but at his secretary??? Stiles is in the stands, near the track, with a huge banner with Eli's name in it and cheering loudly. Eli runs and wins the race and comes running to Stiles screaming in joy. Stiles picks up the boy and twirls with him in the air. Kissing the boy and celebrating it. Derek watches from the side as Stiles interacts with the class teacher and other kids' parents, like Stiles is Eli's father. It was clear that this was not the first instance.

Derek doesn't interfere that day, but he calls Stiles to his office and demands an answer. Stiles panics at first but then explains that, initially, he would drop off gifts in Derek's name to make sure Eli doesn't feel alone. And a couple of times he picks him up when Derek couldn't. Then he just grew close to Eli and ended up going to all events, seeing it make Eli so happy. Stiles has a whole album with photos and videos from all these events. Stiles assures that he made sure Eli knows that Derek's absence was not due to lack of affection.

Derek realizes that Stiles was the one mending the relationship from the sidelines. He has mixed feelingsbut hesitantly asks Stiles to help him fix his relationship with his son. Stiles agrees happily.

Over time, these three started hanging out together and going to events together, and everyone outside started thinking of them as Eli's parents. Eli also started seeing it like that. Stiles had a secret crush, but he never showed it. But all this close proximity was making things harder for him to hide. Derek also started seeing Stiles in a new light, and realized how much of a kind, genuine, brilliant soul Stiles is. He lets his guard down and slowly starts liking Stiles more. Eventually, they confess and end up together after too many heart eyes and tension.

Dunk: How did you know that??

Egg: He keeps acting like a jerk to me.

Dunk: Oh yeah, that. He can be a jerk sometimes.

Dareon: You heard it wrong there for a second, huh?

Derek: And commented "Damn Daddy🔥" on all of my pictures?

Stiles:

Aerion: "Because I am gay."

Valarr's Kid: "What does that mean?"

Aerion: "It means I like boys, not girls"

Valarr's kid: "Then why don't you have a husband?"

It would be absolutely adorable when they are in a relationship. Derek will be clinging to Stiles, touching and nuzzling him every chance he gets. It calms him a lot to be able to do that without any fear or inhibitions. And Stiles thrives in it because he has never been adored like this. Of course, his father pats him and gives him occasional hugs, and Scott does the same sometimes, but after his mother's death, this is the first time he has been this pampered or adored.

Derek also, after his family's loss, this is the first time he can have someone close like this without any restrictions. I feel like these characteristics fit even the canon theme well.

This collection of paintings later becomes a book that gets preserved for centuries, giving everyone a glimpse of old Valyria.
