i’m literally laying in my bed listening to the whole album on repeat bawling my eyes out over how proud i am of taylor and how far she’s come and after everything’s she’s been through she’s still here for us and love us so much. this album is literally everything. i wish i had words to describe exactly how i feel, but for now @taylorswift pls know i am so incredibly proud of you and i love you so so incredibly much.
hey taylor!!! my name is sarah and i just wanted to say thank you for helping me on my whole entire life journey since i was in elementary school (i’m 21 now). thank you for creating a safe space with your music for someone like me to go to when they are not feeling okay or when they want to dance around their room because they’re actually feeling happy. i’m officially three years clean now (!!!!!!!) and you have played a major role in me being able to find myself, finding happiness in the small victories, and knowing it’s okay to be not okay. i will never be able to put into words how much i love you and how much you mean to me. if i could give you the whole world i would. thank you for everything, i have absolutely no idea who i would be without having you as such a positive influence and a safe outlet to cry to even when i’m hurting in silence. i’m sending you the most giant hug and i hope one day we can make that hug a reality. once again, i love you and thank you :)

taylor!!!!!! i just wanted to update you and let you know that i have now graduated high school. as you know, the last year and a half of high school was the hardest time of my life so far but with the love and support of my family, friends, and most importantly, you, i would have not been able to get through it. i walked across the stage with my cap decorated with “step into the daylight and let it go” as i resonated so well with it. the best way to describe high school was bittersweet and im so thankful to have completed this chapter in my life. im so excited (and somewhat scared hehe) to now embark in a new chapter in my life where i will be majoring in biomedical engineering. i love you so much buddy and thank you for being there at the darkest times in my life. i miss you! 💖🦋✨ @taylorswift

Hi Taylor! I didn’t realize until now that all three of these pics have something to do with New Year’s Day (the song), so I thought I would start the post off with a lyric from it. :)
First pic: NYD connection - polaroids. That’s just a pic of me - my name’s Haley. Nothing fancy, just thought I’d show you what I look like. 😇
Second pic: NYD connection - the lyrics. A little over a year ago, I got this line from the song tattooed in your handwriting. It hurt horribly, but it was so worth it.
Last pic: NYD connection - literal New Year’s. 😂 This is me, my sister and my mom on New Year’s Eve 2016 going into 2017. We were at a stand up comedy show in Chicago. That trip (we live in Nebraska) is one of the last happy memories I have of my mom, so I kind of cling to it often. And it reminds me of the song, so that’s a bonus.
My mom was my best friend. She was diagnosed with cancer in fall 2015 and passed away in summer 2017. The exact date was August 10. My absolute favorite song of yours is This Love. You may not remember, but exactly one year later on August 10, 2018, you sang that song as the surprise song at your Reputation tour stop in Atlanta. I literally could not believe it.
My Rep tour date was a month later. I had written a really long letter to you and posted it on here. Kind of like I’m doing now, I suppose. In the letter, I mentioned a few times how you always seem to show up for me exactly when I need you. And there you were, singing my all time favorite song of yours on the one year anniversary of the worst day of my life. I couldn’t believe it.
I took that as a sign that I would meet you at my show. I didn’t. But I still had the time of my life with all of my Swiftie friends. Your music and the friends I’ve made through you have gotten me through some of the worst times in my life.
I just wanted to write this note to you to let you know how excited I am for this new era. I can’t wait to hear the new songs and dance with you on tour again. It would mean the world to me to get to hug you and thank you for all you’ve done for me. I’ve loved you since I was 12 and I love you just as much at 25. Even if it never happens for me, I hope you at least see this and know how much I love you. Thank you for it all, Taylor Alison. 💜

I wanted to drop by and thank you for The Archer. It’s really, really cool to have a song from someone so important to me that I’ve interpreted as a song about self-sabotage, self-awareness, and awareness of your self-sabotage. Usually, songs about self-sabotage are about sleeping with the wrong person. But I’ve found this song is really hitting home for my friends who struggle with some sorts of mental illnesses. It’s really touching because most songs about self-sabotage are specifically and explicitly about bad one night stands or bad relationships, and this doesn’t have to fit in that box.
A few months ago, I wrote this about my struggles with self-awareness and self-sabotage that come along with mental illness. Mostly self-awareness.
But this song, along with Clean, I’m finding are touching people on a deeper and much more emotional level than I think people could have predicted or anticipated, and that’s just a testament to the power your music has on your fans. AND WE LOVE YOU.
