Today was a good day but also a long day. A day where I worked long hours and then came home to an empty apartment and a mind full of thoughts. It's hard  being in a place in  life where you finally know who you are but also feel lost at times. As the night went by and all I did was listen to music and think.... I texted my sister and told her about my fears and over thinking about the future. She gave me advice and told me to "take it one step at a time." That's exactly what I am going to do. I know I am capable of great things, I just need to continue to work hard and not give up. Just as so many random emotions were rushing through my mind and after hours of listening to music I stumbled upon this song which I had never heard. Thankfully it came at the right time.

I hate making resolutions but this year one of the things I told myself I would do was not be afraid to share my emotions, ideas and talk to  random people even when I am nervous to do so, read at least 1 book a month and take chances. So far, I have done that. It's only day three but so far so GOOD! haha!

On Monday, I saw "The Wild Reeds" perform at The Satellite, a bar/venue in Silverlake/Los Angeles and really enjoyed their performance. They are great live and their lyrics really touched my heart (I am a sucker for love songs and hopeless romantic thoughts.) This song has been on repeat this entire week. Anyways, I hope you guys enjoy them just as much as I did!

This video (Link above) really makes me want to open my eyes and interact with people around me. There are times where we live our lives so focused on ourselves, our goals or problems that we forget that there might be someone who wants or needs someone to talk to.

Starting today, I am going to make the effort of starting more conversations with complete strangers or even with people I work in the same building as but never really start a conversation with.
