And if I can offer my own advice: our first impulse when we encounter warnings like this is often to share immediately, just in case, because the idea of someone being hurt because they didn't have access to this information is awful. But, that's all the more reason to take some time to double check. This post was a genuine warning that just happened to be out of date, but that's not always the case, misinformation often spreads in the form of PSAs and important warnings. If you are being asked to spread the word or take immediate action, that's the time to slow down and do a couple checks to verify what you're being told. Look at where and when the information is relevant to, check the notes for any updates or corrections, and try to independantly verify the information. There's plenty for us to worry about right now without dredging up conflicts that are long buried or inventing new ones.

That is to say: you are not a bad, lazy, or selfish person for struggling, even if you know why you are struggling.
