Baby be with me so Happily //Wes & Dec
Declan chewed on his lower lip, his eyes shyly looking over Wes’ face because it was the only way he had to avoid panicking. He just didn’t want his best friend to reject him- he was the only one he had felt some kind of attraction to. But by the looks of it, Wes didn’t dislike him, which was a relief. Although he wondered what were the reasons behind the blonde’s request, he agreed with a nod.
The curly haired boy picked up his sandwich and continued to eat on it, thinking of a replie as he sattisfied his stomach’s needs. “Yeah, I could make us dinner and we could just eat it in the tree house. I think we’ll have to skip the candles because we wouldn’t want the tree to burn down.” he joked, letting out an awkward laugh before biting his lip silently.
He did the unthinkable, one of his hands falling from his well-deserved meal to instead slowly inch its way towards Declan's insanely long arms, pinky finger touching his friend's. He meant it as something reassuring, evidence of the way he felt back. Or was beginning to think he felt. "I could injure m'self if there was real fire, anyway," he agreed, a small smile playing on his lips.
"Can I get you something that's not flowers? Because flowers don't really last for that long and... and I don't know." Wes scratched at the back of his neck, face unbelievably flushed, and only too late realized he was holding food in that hand. He made a small face at the crumbs now covering his skin, hoping Declan hadn't realized that. "And can we... kiss? Again?" His eyes darted around them, voice dropping minimally. "I don't mean just on Valentine's - that's too far away."
