I think DC Super Hero Girls is the only show to convince me that Bruce Wayne disguise would work.

Like yeah, if I was living in Gotham I wouldn't believe the twinky billionaire playboy who is a total idiot, neglectful father, and the host of his universes 'keeping up with the Kardashians' was Batman.

However, I still think that the whole "Marius turning them against Armand's wishes" betrayal does need to happen. Which is why personally I think it would fuck severely if the show adapted that betrayal by having Marius wipe Daniel's memories of him and Armand.

Think about the glorious angst potential. Marius knows that Armand will never turn Daniel. But because the nature of Armand and Daniel's relationship is romantic, not paternal, instead of turning Daniel himself, while Armand is away Marius removes the memories. It's for Armand's own good after all, maker knows best 🙄. Like imagine Armand coming home to find out that Marius erased Daniel's memories of him? UM OUCH!

It would be a GREAT way to adapt that betrayal if the children never turn up in the show. It would also be a way of adapting the Maridan of it all in a way that makes sense in the showverse (especially given the Roman Weiss publisher theory, that Marius has been part of Daniel's life prior to Dubai, ESPECIALLY given that it's Daniel's MEMOIR that is published by Roman Weiss). It would also make sense why the San Francisco memories were the ones that came back, instead of any potentially nice memories. Perhaps Armand being younger wasn't able to lock them down as strong as Marius might. It would also make any reconciliation between them easier if a mind wipe isn't something Daniel has to forgive Armand for. It would make sense for Armand to continue keeping an eye on Daniel over the years if he never wanted to lose him in the first place. And who can forget the symbolism of Marius's painting looming over them during that entire interview and Daniel insisting he's "never heard of him".
