Unpopular opinion: most "home reformers" on Amazon are not reformers. They're furniture with springs.
If you've tried Pilates in a studio and bought a $400 machine online, you know the disappointment. It doesn't glide. The springs feel off. You end up avoiding it. Three things nobody tells you before buying: Weight matters - light reformers move when you move. You want 80lbs+ minimum. The carriage matters more than the frame - if the glide is rough, you won't use it. Customer support is the real test - most cheap brands disappear after the sale. Not saying you need a $3000 studio machine. But there's a gap between "cheap" and "premium" that actually changes your practice. What machine do you use at home?
