Speaking of the source, the 'Stone Age' of electric guitar rock, the foundation came from a woman, not a man: Sister Rosetta Tharpe, decades before Chuck Berry* came along (& they were both famous & succesful). The song above was released in 1942.

Chuck Berry in return had influence on Elvis Presley, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Beach Boys, The Kinks, The Who, The Ramones, Status Quo etc, a generation of pop music did learn from it, since the sixties, until today.

Note nr 11 'How High The Moon' was (re-)posted in 2020 on YouTube, but it was edited (by Randall Rudd?) to a shorter version with less instrumental solos. This is that short version, pretty charming! By the way, the bass player & leader is Joan Chamorro, he is a wonderful musician, multi instrumentalist, singer, leader, arranger, conductor, teacher, experienced with eiher small groups but also large big bands, he must be very important in that music scene, that musical friendly eco-system somewhere in Barcelona(?) Spain!!! [that's from the top of my head, I didn't even look at wiki]
