Despite having pages on all the main social media sites, the hub of TWI social activity seems to be Discord, followed by Reddit. Reddit is great, but it's meant mostly for longer, forum-type discussions, and
not hanging out. And, and this is the point of this post, I absolutely
hate Discord! I tried to like it. I really did. I have an account, which wasn't easy to create, by the way. I have it downloaded. But it's just not fun or enjoyable to use! That's also why I started posting my shorter observations here. I know everything has a learning curve, heck, even Tumblr still gives me trouble sometimes, but if something is absolute torture and you can't get to most of it anyway, then why use it if you don't absolutely have to? But Discord seems to be the answer to everything. I asked what was the best way to contact the social media people to get a TWI page on Mastodon, which is my favorite place to hang out and how I got into the series in the first place. The answer was ask on Discord. People ask how they can make friends to talk about the series with. Discord. *screams* Why is it always Discord? Anyway, this was just a way to vent my frustration, and to say I wouldn't mind having more TWI friends here. I notice there are quite a few already!
