Context: characters from an old almost forgotten and lost media puppet show have been brought to life in a underground facility of a secret society of scientists

They were created by a mad scientist (who is the creator of the show) by using the puppeteers/voices of the main 4 characters and turning them into his creations and plans on creating more

And Plans on truly bringing his show to life

He teaches his creation everything he knows

And each of his main 4 are given a job:

Maria: is given the job to create more of there kind (puppet beings) along with other scientists in the underground facility and her creator and she is more of the doctor type (maria is also a micromanager XD)

Patches: is given the job of tech, creating machines and weaponry to assist in his creators plan and assisting his sister (maria) in creating more of there kind

Silas: is given the job of working with chemicals and with other scientists in the facility and assists both maria and patches in there work, both by creating weaponry and more of there kind

Roy: is given the job of research along with many other scientists in the underground facility (who also work for him and his creator) of resurrection and many of his creators plans, and believes in the prime goal of humanity and truly believes what they are doing is for the greater good (mostly from manipulation from his creator)

(And to also note patches and maria are siblings, but roy and silas are not siblings to patches or maria nor each other, roy and silas are considered friends/colleagues to them)

Maria and patches have a sibling rivalry/bickering

And roy and silas are just colleagues to them or just the two who put up with there bullshit

Roy although not at all related to them is more of a father figure/older brother of the group

Silas is just a sassy asshole XD

Patches is just an asshole

And maria...well...Shes interesting. (Chaotic evil)

Maria was the first to be created, She was essentially a new born baby in the body of a woman.
The creator, with his twisted obsession, tried to mold Maria into the puppet she was meant to be in the show. He tried to recreate her personality and perfect her smile, but Maria couldn't conform to his expectations. She was timid, scared and confused.

The "Problem" the Creator Saw in Her: The creator saw Maria as flawed—because she retained too much of her humanity, and her initial personality didn’t align with the "perfect puppet" he envisioned. In his mind, she was a failed prototype, and he was determined to “fix” her.

Guinea Pig for Future Creations: As his first experiment, Maria would have endured countless painful and gruesome experiments, all meant to “correct” her and perfect his methods. These experiments likely left her physically and mentally scarred, and while future creations may have benefited from these “improvements,” Maria was left broken.

Maria’s Worship of the Creator: Despite the horrors he inflicted on her, Maria views the creator as a god-like figure. She believes that he’s a genius, the one who brought her to life, and she worships him because he’s the source of her existence. Her worship is deeply rooted in her dependence on him—after all, he is the one who gave her this new identity, and she clings to the belief that her suffering serves a greater purpose.

The creator has conditioned Maria to believe that she is nothing without him. He is the one who made her, and he can unmake her if he chooses. She’s been programmed, through fear and abuse, to revere him as a godlike figure.

The creator likely plays on Maria’s worship and fear to keep her loyal. He dangles his approval over her, making her feel like she has to prove herself worthy of his attention.

He may tell Maria that one day she will be perfect, and all her suffering will be worth it. This keeps her clinging to the belief that her torment has a purpose. 

This relentless abuse drove Maria to the brink of insanity. She desperately craved the approval and acceptance of her creator. In a state of madness, she grabbed a scalpel and carved a smile onto her face, in a desperate attempt to please him. From that moment on, she started to exhibit a more cold, heartless personality. She found joy in hurting others. Maria struggled with an identity crisis, torn between the memories of her past and the reality of her new existence. She often had flashbacks of her old self, causing even more confusion and inner turmoil.

But he eventually got what he wanted in the end.
