-- I headcannon Deep was the youngest in his family, having older twin brothers who would tease him, along with his authoritarian father who ran the house and disliked Kevin. He was bullied at school and at home so he was very ready to reinvent himself in a college setting.

-- Godolkin is where his ass kissing tendency started. He was practically a servant to upperclassmen and frat brothers. He took intense hazing, especially with his gills, along with the webbing between his fingers and toes I headcannon he has

— Godolkin is where he started to realize he was actually regressing and not just going crazy. The topic was discussed in a psychology class he had to take. He asked his roommate if they ever felt smaller or younger than they really were, or if they ever felt fuzzy like everything was too overwhelming. His roommate just laughed at him and Kevin never talked about it again.

— He was frequently known as a bedwetter by girls he would hook up with. He’d wake up to soaked sheets in a random girls beds and leave before they would wake up as well.

— He would excuse his bedwetting tendencies under the guise of excessive drinking, which would be partially true sometimes, but more often than not he would regress or it would just happen, a problem he would carry into his adult life.

— Sometimes he would regress at frat parties from the drinking making it easier for him to slip into headspace, but due to that he would also get very overstimulated and hide away in the bathroom to cry and suck his thumb for comfort

— He kept a pacifier and a couple toys hidden in his dorm. Thankfully he was never caught with these items by a roommate.

— He struggled significantly academically, failing multiple classes which would upset him greatly and always made him feel small and dumb. He would have episodes where he’d smack himself in the head to get his brain to work, an action his father repeatedly did.

— In the most serious relationship he had with a girl, he confessed about his age regression, to which she was confused but tried to be supportive. She bought him ocean themed stuffed animals and an blanket and even a new pacifier as his other one was all chewed up on the silicone teat. Even though it didn’t last, due to his cheating habit, it was probably the happiest and most comforted he had ever been while regressed

— He would reach out to her multiple times over the years but never get responses. He still has the pacifier and stuffed animals she gave him. The blanket she gave his is thin and mangy from years of tough love and ocean water

— Once he wasn’t an underclassmen anymore and became frat president he started to really show that big ego he has, acting like he was better than everyone to cover up his insecurities

— As president, he had a lot of regression themed hazes for the pledges such as, diapers, only drinking beer out of baby bottles at parties, dressing up like babies, making them only eat baby food. All things to make them feel as shameful as Kevin felt about being little

— He also gave pledges a lot of punishments his dad would give him. A big one was bare spankings with a paddle or belt. Others were dressing up in either woman’s lingerie or very feminine clothes. One punishment his father would do that Kevin could not re-enact though would be to cook a family dinner, usually consisting of live lobsters or crabs which Kevin would have to place in the boiling water.

— Being able to preform the punishments Kevin was once at the receiving end of was a double edged sword. It made him feel powerful but also brought back many terrible memories.

— When he joined The Seven he was not only back down to the bottom of the food chain, it was also the first time he really experienced the an intense pressure of being a supe. Before he had only done a handful of media interviews but now with all the paparazzi it overwhelmed him. After interviews and events it was absolutely necessary for him to regress or else he would freak out. He had lots of meltdown in his apartment from masking for so long and being overstimulated.

— Since Maeve went to Godolkin at the same time as Kevin she recognized when he would get close to slipping, and then became the person he could trust the most if he were to slip in public. By absolutely no means did she like him, in fact she barely even tolerated him when little, but she would keep press off his back until they had some privacy for him to deal with it on his own.

— A-Train has also been around Kevin while regressed, however he was a lot less helpful than Maeve, mainly just because he thinks so little of Deep he didn’t realize a more childish shift in behavior and that Kevin needed help.

— The Seven do not like when Kevin gets upset and starts acting more childish, which is part of the reason he’s excluded from so many events. (Like how he wasn’t at the race in season 1 or Tek Knights in season 4)
