Reason for Being Hated: Changed “too drastically” from the original, fat.

Okay, so let me set down and get this straight. Because he is now “drastically different” from the Tabitha we once had in RSE, he’s a bad character, now? Because now he has a deeper character and a unique personality, along with major character development in the middle of the story? For those who don’t remember, he risked everything to turn against Maxie to try and stop him from destroying the world and all of its inhabitants. And later on, he forgives Maxie for all that he’s done, and stays devoted to his leader and his boss. Now let’s look at RSE Tabitha.To be honest, if I saw him standing next to a Magma Grunt in RSE, I wouldn’t be able to tell the difference.

This Tabitha’s character ranges from comical and silly, to downright serious and mature in the snap of a finger. And that’s what I like about him. He’s still serious even when he has a sillier side. Quite honestly, the old Tabitha’s character didn’t even have as deep and developed of a character. And ORAS Tabitha is a scientist who onces worked in Devon Corp, the Pokemon equivalent to Apple. If that isn’t amazing, than I don’t know what is.

Also everyone else’s designs were changed drastically and I didn’t see a single complaint.

 Fat

And there’s a problem with being fat? 

I have seen more than a few people who have become more confident about themselves because they see Tabitha as positive representation. He’s not made to be “fat comic relief”, and his body and weight isn’t made fun of for the entire game. And when it is made mention of (I believe May, in Alpha Sapphire, calls him “tubby”), the comment is ignored and in fact, he doesn’t even care about it. Fat positive characters are important, and that’s why Tabitha is important; not only for his character but for how he’s represented. And just remember that just because he’s fat doesn’t mean he’s incapable to kicking your butt because he will crush you.
