weezer has officially announced their new 2026 tour, the gathering! along with this exciting news, they’ve shared that “shine again”, the first single from their next album (yes, you heard that right. NEW MUSIC!) will release this next wednesday on 4/1!

sorry for my long absence from this app lol, i haven’t had time to really focus on this account. i hope to be posting more frequently soon! i’ve been a huge fan of the black album (and that sweet guitar rivers has here) and the entire tour around that album is so fun to look at.

absolutely did NOT expect this to happen this year but it’s still awesome that it happened! i don’t listen to her much, but to see the influence weezer has on even today’s most popular artists still floors me every time.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SCOTT!

today, scott shriner turns to the new rocking age of 60! scott’s been a part of weezer since 2001, and we’ve been thankful for every second of it. his mix of melodic, crunchy, and bombastic basslines brought a new sound to the bands music that still seems fresh. from every weezer fan around the world, we wish scott a very happy birthday!!

what are some of your favorite scott basslines?

mine are: burndt jamb, weekend woman, dope nose, and da vinci!

expect me to post lots about this tour. such a fun and cool experience! i can’t wait to see what they follow this up with next year along with their new album( assuming all goes well)! hoping to get back to regular posting soon.

we’ll always miss mikey and the energy he brought to the band. this was one of the last videos he ever recorded with the band, and left later that year. we’re forever grateful for his work, and he’ll he missed forever!

how fitting that weezer got to sign our next mission to the moon right before flying to the blue planet? it’s awesome to see the band get included in this part of history.

6.17.23 pink triangle @ wonderroad festival, indianapolis indiana

this show was part of their indie rock roadtrip! described by karl (seen with the camera in the video) and the band as their “greatest tour by far”, these shows were incredible. note the slight technical difficulties on the screen, one of a few at this specific show. most notably, rivers mic and guitar accidentally shut off during the first half of “island in the sun”! this tour perfectly fit the immediate post-SZNZ era and has nothing but good memories.

this was the second show of the VTTBP tour, at the allstate theatre in rosemont, illinois! such a great tour with an amazing production, crew, setlist, and overall vibe.
