Nissan has long been rumored to be working on a bigger version of the Leaf to produce an all-electric SUV or crossover. Seven years after releasing the Leaf, Nissan has yet to bring the vehicle to market, but an executive now says that it will come to production based on the IMx concept.

While Tesla’s original Roadster that SpaceX launched into space on the new Falcon Heavy captured a lot of attention, we are still more excited here about the next-generation Roadster currently under development. Now a Tesla next-generation Roadster prototype shows up at Gigafactory 1 in Nevada.

Every year the geneva motor show plays host to the most extravagant car designs the world has seen, from global automotive giants to small supercar shops. traditionally a trade fair for the supercars from the likes of ferrari, mclaren and more, a higher number of super-tech cars have also been receiving their world premiers at the show in recent years. for the geneva motor show 2018, this trend has increased even further, and as such, designboom rounds up the most futuristic and conceptual cars on show.

Here’s something you don’t see every day: an electric autonomous rideshare concept car from a major automaker.  Oh wait, nevermind, it’s the Geneva Auto Show.  That’s exactly what you see every day. But this one, Renault’s newest effort, doesn’t seem like it’s just more-of-the-same.  While it’s obviously a concept car, with extra emphasis on “concept,” it truly embraces that concept nature and steps away from the realm of “normal” and into a totally different driving future which actually looks fairly palatable, and even realistic.

After a few months of teasing, Rimac has finally unveiled its latest all-electric hypercar with specs just as crazy as Tesla’s new Roadster. According to the company, the ‘Concept_Two’ will accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 1.85 seconds. The acceleration is achieved thanks to the car’s four independent electric motors that can put out 1,914 hp and 2,300 Nm of torque.

The company will build a production version of its iVision Dynamics concept called ‘BMW i4’.

The concepts keep coming out of the Geneva Auto Show this week, with Porsche unveiling a new one this morning – a fully electric sport crossover SUV adaptation of their not-yet-released Mission E.

Built in the UAE by ENATA, the foiler dramatically reduces the turbulence and slamming of a conventionally-designed yacht. offering a smooth and progressive take-off and landing, it claims to virtually eliminate sea sickness in passengers while soaring over choppy waters.

The art/architecture guys over at snarkitecture present: the ‘slip chair’, a seemingly unusable product designed for portugal-based company, UVA. the ‘slip chair’s’ sunken appearance doesn’t look like a good place to sit. however, its precisely-cut, tapered stone — atop its questionably-cut wooden frame — reminds users that the chair is actually revolving on two axes, instead of one; the opposing elements counterbalance each other; any illusion of uneasiness here is just another snarky joke. it’s completely stable. you won’t slip off. you can definitely sit on it just fine.
