1969
Original Boots photographic catalogue from 1969 found in my Granddad's study; beautiful.
Beautiful film from Salzar for Red Bull Media House about Theo Jansen.
Fred & Valerie
Went to a talk by Eric Kessels about his in almost every picture series a few weeks ago. Fred & Valerie feature in No. 11; the postcard says it all.

New, old work
A forgotten about Uni project trying to answer the question of what happens after graduation. I documented the car-journey home, taking a photograph out of the passenger window every 5 minutes.
Another project I forgot to post about when it happened. Collaboration between Daniel Eatock, Andy Holden & Ice, Sea, Dead People. Video by Aris Maleas, Vasia Ntoulia & Vincent Descourtieux. Strong.Â
5 D's of design
Still in the development stage.
The last days of Nowhereisland
Nowhereisland arrived in Bristol yesterday along with it's mobile embassy; nice touch with the box of Ferrero Rocher. I'm now a proud Nowherian - join me and 21,401 others here.
NOWHEREISLAND; led by artist Alex Hartley continues its journey from the Norweigian Arctic, via the South West coast of England to it's final stop in Bristol Harbourside on the 7th of September. Watch the above video for an explanation about the project. The scripted voiceover is pretty annoying but besides that, the project looks immense. To get sent a piece of the island when the project ends, sign up to be a citizen here.Â

Strong.
Went to the private view of See No Evil's gallery exhibition at Paintworks on Thursday night; the most interesting work either wasn't for sale or was labeled 'price on request'.
Joanie Lemercier's mesmerising 'Light Canvas' stood-out above the rest; a beautiful, geometric light projection. The photos I took look terrible so here's a video by Jerome Monnot & Vania Jaikin Miyazaki about Lemercier's visual label AntiVJ. It features another beautiful piece of Lemercier's work; cascading light showers inspired by an Icelandic volcano.
Framed
James & Co at Meltone Gallery have been busy framing a couple of my prints.
Things I should have posted / No. 4 / Hereford Degree Show
Amazing work from Creative Arts & Blacksmithing courses at Hereford College of Arts. Rebekah Marshall stood-out from the textiles students.

Things I should have posted / No. 3 / UWE Degree Show
Too much strong work to mention from the UWE graduates; especially from the Illustration BA course.

Things I should have posted / No. 2 / BSAD Degree Show
Good work from the Graphics & Fine Art graduates 2012 at Bath School of Art & Design.
[top] Will Harvey / [left to right] Caitlin Ashton / Alice Rose / Imogen Coulter / Stephanie De St George / Corinne Smallman
Things I should have posted / No. 1
Daniel Eatock talk at Spike Island / Inspiring man with beautiful work. The highlight was a slightly awkward post-talk chat about drawing Stratocasters.
Damien Hirst at the Tate Modern / Good use of animals, dead & alive.
Assembly at Rochelle School, Shoreditch / Bath School af Art & Design graduate show / Strong work, strongly curated.
