Not gonna lie this makes me a bit irritated. Here's the real version of this photo:

Instead of a cutesie reference to film censorship it was an explicit statement of defiance of Maryland's criminalization gay sex, which was not repealed until 2002. This wasn't a guy saying "Oh they can't put what I do in the movies according to a completely voluntary industry code" he was saying "The State of Maryland wants to put me in jail for being gay and having gay sex."

It wasn't a guy being cheeky about sex in an ambiguous, cute way. It was a man stating, in no uncertain terms, that a whole state of the United States considered him a criminal for being homosexual.

Imagine Eddie pushing in Wayne like this and everyone freaks out and then Wayne pops up like "holy shit son it took you long enough to get me back for it from last time!" and Eddie, shirt clenched in the fist of Joyce and completely unconcerned by it chirps back "it's a dish best served cold 😝"

Wayne pushes him in the pool mid conversation with Steve next week. Says pardon me and walks away with a polite smile as his nephew flails in the background.

Once Steve and Eddie start dating and it’s getting serious, there’s one day when Steve turns to Wayne, and says “Hey, check this out.” Then he stands, scoops Eddie up without warning, and jumps both of them into the water with a whoop. They surface at the same time, Eddie sputtering indignantly but melting when Steve drapes both arms around his neck and starts kissing him.

Wayne snorts and cracks open a beer and mutters, “Welcome to the family, kid.” He’d say it louder, but they’re definitely not listening now.

There is a fairly famous trans YouTuber and general internet person from my hometown.

I know this because I was good friends with his older brother when I was a teen. I didn't recognise him the first time I saw him on YouTube, but I ABSOLUTELY recognised his dog, who I met as the cutest puppy.

Often, on other sites I see terfs saying "still look like a woman", which he absolutely doesn't, not even a little bit.

But I have the extra special hidden knowledge- not only does he not look like a woman; he looks exactly like his brother. Even their mannerisms are the same.

And it makes me laugh.
