yes so i’ll just list all the image sizes you’ll need for the site.

220x350 image for your avatar

a square gif of any size (preferably 100x100) for the sidebar

two rectangular gifs of any size as they’ll resize automatically

since opening is just around the corner, we thought it would be a great time to let you guys get started on your apps. our app is a pretty straightforward shipper app so you guys shouldn’t have any problems with it. but as always, if you do have any questions feel free to ask!

alright everyone, it’s almost time for us to open up reserves. but before we do, here’s a quick rundown of how they’ll work!

you’ll be able to reserve two faces of any gender, doesn’t matter.

when sending in your reserve, make sure to include the face you would like to reserve along with your alias and two backup faces. so it should look something like this: face claim for name (backups: one, two)

if you won an early reserve, you will be allowed to reserve one more face.

we do ask that you send in your reserves off anon so we can keep everyone’s dashes from being spammed with asks

you are also able to reserve a face for a friend if they’re not able to, but we ask that you do so separately from yours so we don’t get confused

that’s pretty much it. we’ll be opening reserves at 6pm est. please wait until we’ve announced that they’re open to send in your reserve. anything sent in prior to that announcement will be deleted.

guys, we are absolutely floored with how much you guys participated in this contest. seeing all of your entries made us so happy and we really hope to see this enthusiasm carry over to the site. we can’t thank you guys enough. (we love all of you guys so much already!!!)

it is time to announce our winners though, so everyone send a big congratulations to @englishlarryaffair and @cantadult! make sure you guys send us the (one) face you’d like to reserve along with your alias and a few backup faces just in case.

honestly, there is no real one answer we could give you to answer this. there’s no, like, specific list of things we’ve written up that will guarantee the site staying open for x amount of time.

every time we make a site, we go into it with every intention of keeping the site open for long as possible. we’ve been fortunate enough to have some fairly successful sites in the past, and we’re extremely grateful for that. but at the same time, we’re going to run into roadblocks. sometimes a site is not as successful as you hoped it would be. other times, sites don’t even take off and you’re left wondering if this is something that’s still worth pursuing or if you’re wasting your time. it’s one of the unfortunate parts of making site; this weird place you find yourself in as an admin when activity isn’t where you wish it would be and the site’s life ends up hanging in the balance.
