you are fully and utterly for yourself. unlike others, if your beliefs are being threatened by someone but the person being threatened is not you, chances are you will be mad but not act. you see things as being the result of randomness and the chaos that makes up the universe. you are truly a free spirit, and most likely will NOT be working for someone else. if you are, it is only because they own the company you work for.

        ‘ you don’t sound so local, ’ he says, simple like. teddy doesn’t mean anything by it, but he’s got time to kill, and a little light conversation is a fair enough thing when you’ve got nothing to drink. he hooks his thumb into his belt, cants his head aside. 

    it’s a crying shame there’s nobody around who can appreciate the irony here, really. it even goes right over teddy’s head. he’s not exactly local either, just dressed up like one and putting on some accent without realising. ‘ knew a couple folks out the commonwealth way, sound a little like ’em. am i close? ’ 

                  “ A FEW HUNDRED miles off, but i guess you could consider that close. “ leah shrugged, eyes focused on the gun she was fixing. “ the answer’s capital wasteland. “ she added. the woman took a couple more seconds to finish what she was working on, after which she finally made eye contact with the stranger.

                  FIVE DAYS. four hundred caps. if she was planning on leaving the junkyard anytime soon, the prices had to be raised. the only issue was people’s unwillingness to pay more than fifty caps per repair. she tried to convince them to pay more every once in a while but leah’s attempts backfired on her most of the time as she was by no means a master of persuasion. either way, she had to figure out some way to obtain caps more quickly. the area was not very crowded, so perhaps if she managed to sneak into someone’s camp while they weren’t looking...

        but her thought process was interrupted as from the corner of her eye she spotted a figure lurking around the junkyard. as she turned her head that way it was confirmed her eyes were not playing tricks on her and there was indeed someone nearby. “ you need something fixed or are you just here to ADMIRE this pile of trash ? “ leah called out to the man. rather obnoxiously at that.

                 oh no. not another one, she thought as she heard someone step on the porch and approach the entrance. the last two who stepped through that door were now DEAD on the floor as they attacked on sight and she had no choice but to defend herself. it was only due to luck ( and good cover ) that she was able to take them out before they could kill her, but one of their bullets still hit leah in the left arm, leaving her significantly injured. she knew her chances of surviving another firefight --- even if it was only against one person --- were slim to none, so she she spoke up once saw the door slowly open.

        “ i’m not gonna shoot if you won’t. i don’t wanna fight. “ the girl called out before the one entering made themselves visible. it was a risky move to make her presence known this early, but leah had a feeling it was better than having the other one suddenly discover her and attack because they got SCARED.
