emily didn’t expect to see him, it had been five years. five years since he up and left. she never thought he was going to come back. her friends warned her that he had come back home for the holidays this year and of course with her luck who should she literally bump into on the streets but him. she gave him a small smile. “—- it’s.. it’s been a while huh? — you look good.” she said quietly. she looked down at her boots as she wrapped her arms around her small frame. she wanted to run, but she new that would be rude of her to do so.

destiny was in the kitchen again, just like she always was. listening to her boyfriend talk about all the girls he was fucking behind her back and his friends cheering him on. tears flew down her cheeks as she was preparing food for them like she always did. she was getting tired, of him being unfaithful, of treating her like she was a maid. but she knew she had no one else and nowhere to go. she knew that no one else would want her either. her lips trembled as she tried to keep the sobs in. she wasn’t sure how much longer she’d be able to be with him anymore.  but also she was scared of how she would make it on her own if she did. she had no friends to run to, he made sure of that. he made sure she had absolutely no one to depend on. 

destiny stood on his porch shaking, complete drenched from the storm. she had lost her keys and it was storming. she knocked gently as her lips trembled from how cold she was. she was also nervous, she and her neighbor had shared glances and he was extremely attractive but they had never interacted. she was way too shy to come by and say hello. hell it took a storm for her to come to his door. when he opened the door she looked up at him shyly as her arms wrapped around her small frame. “h-hi.” she breathed out. “i g-got locked out of my home and i c-can’t find my keys. w-would it be okay if i came in until this storm lifts?” she asked quietly.

            Destiny sat in a corner and let out a shaky breath. She wished she could be more confident, go and talk to him, even sit beside him. But she was never an outgoing girl. She was even surprised she turned up today. Leo watched her curiously and walked over to ask her if she was okay. Destiny smiled small. “I’m fine, I promise.” She said quietly. He nodded before heading over to Johnny. “Mate, that girl is clearly into you..” He said quietly as she took a sip of his beer. “She’s a cute one, --- you should go and get to know her.” He suggested. 

                     It took about six takes to get all the angles down. Once the director called cut she immediately let go of his hand as she tried to hid her blush. She smiled small as the director told her she did a good job. “Thanks.” She said quietly. She looked over to Johnny quietly before walking away when the director said they could take a break. 

she didn’t expect this, how fancy and private it was. she was shocked, but she knew he must have made a lot of money on fights. “ i wouldn’t be here if i wasn’t william. ” she said quietly. she looked up at him with a soft smile. “ and i wouldn’t keep letting you show up at my apartment at 3 am to get patched up either. ” 

                  She was playing an angel, trying to save him. The door swung open and revealed her as she walked in. She pushed her palm in direction of the men who were playing his captures and soon they were screaming and clutching their heads and eventually pacing out of the ground. Her eyes locked with his and she walked over the men to get to him. She quickly untied him and offered him her hand as she gazed at him gently. 

the flowers added some color and joy to her apartment. she loved them. especially since this is the first time she had ever received flowers from a man she was interested in. “ maybe i am. ” she teased and smirked softly at him. she locked the door behind her and nodded. “ yes, i love italian food. it’s my absolute favorite. ” she smiled softly. 

          They teamed her with Johnny, of course they did. Each girl was supposed to be saving them as they fight against the devil. She did find it fitting for their song Me Against The Devil. She wished they had paired her with Leo, or Dylan, she wouldn’t have been as nervous. He was going to be tied up to a chair being roughed up by men who were possessed and she was going to barge in an take them all down and get him out of there. She was shaking as she waited for her queue to begin.
