he'd gotten carried away . truly , he had . hands had bordered her face and pulled lips against his own , fleeting and ineffective . a part of him that had once adored the sensation of physical affection to show appreciation had been triggered without realising . ( visions of curled hair and a cravat come to mind . ) smile sits still content against lips , excitement brightening aged hues . " what ? you were amazing ! "

" sentence makes him unknowingly happy . to see someone so content in the knowledge that they had depth , that they mattered , it gave him such hope . smile makes that evident , lips turned skyward and reaching aged hues . it takes him far longer than it should to realise what donnie was implying , half due to his absent nature and half due to a rather interesting sight atop castle . a few moments pass before he starts to giggle , a hand clapped onto the other's shoulder and a gentle squeeze administered .

" hey , where are you going ? oh man . i can't feel my toes . " asked by @t1meaway for rory .

panic is evident across features , even if he's trying to hide it behind chaotic flailing of limbs and light - hearted mumbling . " oh , it's just your toes , rory . we can get you more toes . " evidently a joke to try and lighten mood as eyes search frantically for anything he can use to get them out of sticky situation . but he fails . he fails . despite brain rushing at a million miles an hour , genius seems completely lost as to what to do . quickly on his knees , hands find one of rory's , holding them tight between callous fingers . " rory , i promise you i'll get you out of this . but i need you to trust me . i need to go and turn the machine off , but it's in the other room . " a sigh , a sad smile , twisting across his features . " i need you to trust me . "
