Raspy breaths came from Frank after he spent his last round against the oncoming Soviet soldier, gloved hands slowly reached for the blade on his shoulder, removing the sharp object in a single fluid motion he looked towards DD at his side, his voice coming as a whisper. “D.D. Go to the landing zone! GO!”

the canine STOOD his ground, refusing the move. he wasn't about to leave a family member, no, he had to protect them. nobody could be left behind. even when frank's pleaded shouts penetrated d.d.'s ears, he chose to BLOCK them out. 

Setting the pup back down onto the ground, before squatting  down, the whole package in one hand before the temptation to  resist the cute-ness of the fluffed animal was just too much to  bare. Eyes glanced around once more, to scope if anyone was  in the vicinity. Terrified that she would have gotten caught,  peeling her gaze back over. Before slipping another hot dog  his way. Chuckling a little bit.

he takes the hot dog, more or less INHALING it almost instantly. it was honestly a treat to watch such a small animal eat his weight in food.

but he couldn’t help that he was always hungry, a growing pup needed it, NATURALLY. 

and so if he was going to steal that entire package of hot dogs, he was going to need to jump high enough to pluck them out of her hands, hopefully, he had enough weight to him to pull them down. 

as pathetic as it sounds, he tries it, kicking up on his hind legs, pushing himself up high enough to get air bound. teeth quickly biting down on the plastic packaging as he finally YANKS it, pulling his head back far, forcing it from her hands. 

after that, the only thing he needed to do was RUN.
