I love Fitz. He is by far my favorite part of Agents of Shield and I love Fitzsimmons. That said, I was bummed that he acted a bit out of character this episode. Not the aggravation with Deke. I get why they did that. But the whole “I can’t believe we’re really married” part. It took away from the cuteness of that scene for me. I know it’s a thing newlyweds do but Fitz and Simmons are scientists who thrive on technicalities and um...technically they’re not? Like he and Coulson said before the wedding reveal, the ceremony was just a symbol. So now I have to wonder if they’re ever going to get them married for real or if that’s it and the matter is closed. Maybe if there’s a season 6 they’ll take care of that between seasons.

fitzsimmons are pathologically incapable of having appropriately timed conversations.

Geez nearly every frame of this Fitz episode is screencap-able. It’s going to take forever to get through this re-watch.
