Jonah Kai Blaustein is a 23 years old trans man who is 171 cm tall, gay and goes by he/him.

Jonah is very calm and tries to stay optimistic, but it is very difficult at times due to his struggle with his severe depression. He often feels overwhelming sadness and is overthinking a lot. But he is the connecting glue of his friend group. He is someone very dependable and you can go to him with all of your problems.

Jonah grew up at his aunt and uncle, he never met his mother and his father passed away when he was 1. His family has always been very supportive and still is; nowadays he lives together with his boyfriend Cosmo in their own flat. Jonah works as a bookseller at a second-hand and antique bookstore. One day at work he found a strange book in a box of donations that was left in front of the door. When he opened it, there was no text on the pages, only a dedication, reading his full name. He took the book with the robin's egg blue cover and the yellowed pages with him, which was a suggestion by his friend and coworker Melanie. After every significant event or realisation, some text reveals on the pages, reading of Annemarie Blaustein and her son Jonah Kai, who struggled with his mental health. Annemarie seems to be the author of this book that was mainly written in a diary-esque style. Jonah deeply relates to his struggles and decides to go down the rabbit hole of this mysterious book.
