They're still there at the doorway and Jamie actually debates how bad it would be if he just closed the door and immediately called Sumeyye because there was no way in hell that this was happening. There's this pregnant pause between them where he just sort of looks at the woman and she's somebody, she's something, he just can't put a name to the face. "Well he's nae home an' it's jus' me an' I'm nae in the business of bringing strangers intae the house Miss....?" Brow raised, there's a bit of a sarcastic quality to his politeness, he doesn't like anything about this.

Isla considered, her lips pursing the more she thought about it. There had to be a reason why a man would leave home and not think to ask questions about the family he had left behind. There had to be a reason to the nonchalance and even slight distaste in Jamie's eyes. Her gaze fell, a bit of sadness getting to her as Isla abandoned the thought of returning to Scotland. But as she thought about the life they'd make in Italy, Isla wondered if that wasn't for the best anyway.

"Things were different then." Too different, sometimes when he thought back on it, all he'd lived through, it felt like a dream, completely detached from who he was now. "I was angry at them, I think. Most people, really." HIs standing in life, the way everyone had been quick to abandon him for fear of losing their own standing within the house. Everything that followed, the human part of it, Jamie grimaced at the thought but all of that is completely derailed because Isla is talking about family and he's blinking owlishly across from her at the table. "His father's an elf." The wee babe she always had with her, he'd wondered about that, why the father never seemed present.

"I could try." Jamie offers a shrug of his right shoulder, even manages some feigned innocence, but he slides off of Adrian's lap with the grace of a cat. It's all still seemingly innocent as he situates himself on his knees on the hardwood floor, practically tucks under the desk. It's only when he's properly kneeling between spread thighs that cotton is practically clinging to that the familiarity sinks in and he chooses to repress it. Fingers splayed out against thighs that could have been literally sculpted, he looks up at Adrian from under his lashes. They're at home, no one is going to come barging in on them, but there's a bit of excitement to the positioning anyways. Today the home office, tomorrow the Palace of Mars, the next day perhaps the while they're at the Forum and Adrian's physically unable to unclench his jaw due to overthinking, he had plans. "Nae sure how good at it I'll be."

"In case there was any doubt, you're going to hell. You can't bottom in front of God's dead son and not end up burning forever. Kudos though." That wasn't for Atlas, but it sounded like a good stage for a porno; if that was something he still did then Atlas would've been taking notes. "I didn't stop because I wanted to settle down, no, I wouldn't do that for a guy." Atlas thought about Eoin for a second, truth was he wasn't sure if there was anything he wouldn't have done for him. "I only got into it to pay my mom's hospital bills, and then it took off. When she died, I just..." Atlas shrugged, "Didn't seem as worth my time, especially with all the other shit going on." War, etc. "I am seeing someone though." Atlas gestured to the drunk guy absolutely killing it on the dance floor, Eoin. "He's not normally like that, I got him very drunk. Merry Christmas to me."

He handwaves the hell comment, it's something he has made peace with or at least the idea of it had been done to death. Nobody liked a vampire that was concerned with where their soul had gone or whatever. Peeking over the balcony, looking out at the dancefloor, Jamie looks to who Atlas is gesturing towards and raises his brows before nodding in approval. The guy is handsome, seems comfortable busting a move after a few drinks and it doesn't happen very often, but he does feel just a little bit of warmth in his cold, dead heart. Atlas deserves some normalcy after everything, a nice boyfriend, a fun time. "I'm happy for ye." It's a quick moment of weakness, a small smile that's genuine. "Seems tae be a good time."

Isla had awoken to the world redone with memories of her son as a young man and, as she held him in her arms again as a toddler again, she had promised herself that she would not let memories of what once were affect the new future her child would know. For that reason, Isla had taken to her phone and filmed the stories what she could of the memories she should remember, and advice, while the rest slowly faded away. Now, all she had left were those videos of the past. One of the things she had insisted to her future self that she keep in mind was Jamie - she needed to talk to him.

"I didnae go back." He doesn't think he's ever really talked about it, not like this. The last time he'd had a conversation he'd had about his parents, it'd been with Gavyn and it'd been about not going back. He'd left them and everyone in that house alive. "Thought on it fer a while, choose not tae." His mother must have kept up with trying to be more than just some maid if Isla was right there. He wondered who she wound up marrying, who his father settled down with. "Ma wasnae exactly mother of the year an' my father tolerated me at most." Got him a job in the stables as he grew, treated him more like a coworker than a son.

"I'm fine, Jamie. He's my sire, I just want to know him." It felt unfair that he didn't get that chance, or that anyone would try to say something was wrong with Seth. Maybe they didn't have what everyone else had, but that didn't mean they couldn't have something. "Art, longboarding, rizzing, you know, the usual." Jamie was like a Victorian-era virgin whose idea of debauchery was flirting, showing a bit of wrist, and losing his virginity to a saddle. All these things made his pseudo-brother the last person Wolfgang would talk to about Nate. "That reminds me, I have a bust for you at the studio you'll have to come to grab some time. You'll like it, I repurposed a Virgin Mary just for you."

"Saw a wee bit of that 'rizz' at that homecoming party." He'd had to step around what had seemed like several orgies, declined them all. They hadn't put a label on it, whatever he had going on with Adrian, but he wasn't much for group activities to begin with, not unless he knew everyone involved. He'd glimpsed Pluto and there's a level of hesitance at anyone he knows being close to an original vampire of all people, but it wasn't his place to tell Wolfgang to steer clear of anyone in power, considering his present situation. "I could use more decor, as of right now I have a tasteful nude of a friend an' fruit."

"Honestly, consider me disappointed." Atlas had every confidence in Jamie's ability to figure out how to defile the Vatican some other time. Sure, the place was an institution, but less so for the supernatural world. The necromera had the footage that he needed so he closed it and tucked it into his jacket for now, he had a few more interviews to do still before the night was through. "Are you going to see this person again? Maybe they're just as up for railing you under the eyes of the lord as you are in actually being railed."

"So here is the thing." Jamie keeps relationship advice solely to Sumeyye, he's private, and yet the last time he'd outright 'dated' anyone, it just didn't.....Hakan was still alive at least, they respected one another. Getting this attached to someone, playing house with them, it made things complicated. Thing is that he likes Atlas in the sense that he's actually rather fond of him, had been before he'd even become part of the supernatural community. "He did rail me behind a pulpit, I could literally look up at the cross mid-railing." The memory of such thing actually has him letting out a wistful sigh. "What about ye? Put up the OF tae settle down?"

There's this thing the eyebrows do where they raise just the slightest in shock while Adrian's eyes avert and something about it is downright adorable. It's a goal half the time, to get some sort of reaction, to catch him off guard. Jamie can't do anything but grin at the light chastising, fingers smoothing from shoulders to rest at the Cardinal's chest. It's just for a second before he's almost idly undoing the top button of Adrian's shirt, teeth caught by his lower lip. "Then ye could let me do the 'on yer knees' bit." It's practically flippant, punctuated by a slight roll of his hips. "Besides, I think it's fine in the eyes of the Lord as long as we keep our socks on." Forehead pressed to the other man's he can't help but chuckle at his own banter.

"Doesn't sound like anything you can't handle." What did Wolfgang want out of this whole thing with Seth? Maybe to anyone on the outside looking in it probably seemed painfully obvious that the Mars vampire was never going to have the sort of relationship with his sire that others had. It didn't feel fair and it probably wasn't, but it didn't change the fact that there was a very strong part of the young vampire's mind that remained hopeful. "I just want to know what happened to him, after that... I don't know I guess I'll just go from there."

"This is the part where I tell ye tae nae be like me an' actually say something if ye need any sort of help. An' I din mean offing the bastart." Not like he wouldn't help then, especially then. But he thinks about how after Gavyn passed and he'd just shut down, had been driven forward solely by duty to see that the estate was taken care of. All of the grief still sat in his chest some days and he didn't know what to do with it. "An' I guess din leave anything unsaid." That's too raw, a wound that's still open even after nearly two years and so he shifts his weight, looks from the dripping paint against the wall to the younger vampire. "The hell else have you been up to?" It's a more playful question because he knows he got up to something during that Pluto party.

What Atlas was going to do with the rest of forever was probably the third most daunting thing on his mind right now, but it was a party so the future was the furthest thing from his mind. He'd taken- well he'd taken a lot and now he was committed to the bit. "Wait, really? You dirty bitch." Jamie was supposed to be the tame one, but here he was showing Atlas that even in old age you could be breaking down walls and getting bred under the eyes of God. He stopped recording now, "So... we regret this?" He wasn't really sure what Jamie had been implying.

"Nae yet." Yet being the key word and he'd like to be optimistic, but he also knows that his luck is that it might take decades for the other shoe to drop, but it would eventually. It's not the first time he's played house with someone, but it is the first time he'd been the one to want it and maybe that means something. But Jamie keeps his tone light with Atlas and his camera. "Actually the regret is that I only made oot wae someone in the Vatican." The things that closet could have seen, if it hadn't been for the then leech, the railing could have happened there. "Never think I'm gonnae get that opportunity again."

He's not expecting anyone and those that would drop in, unless it was a dire emergency, would text him, call maybe. So he's already suspicious of the woman on the doorstep. And then she says the word sire and Jamie glances up towards the ceiling of the front hall and he asks the God that Adrian is so fond of a very simple question of 'what the fuck'. "Does said housemate knew yer coming?" On one hand there's mild anxiety that this is someone close to Adrian, on the other hand his urge to protect the cardinal is a far stronger feeling.
