Best costume? He has a bear one. Way to please the bear headmaster with some truly...
bear-ing beauty.
(âŸ)â (un)forgettable.
(â)â      Funny how the brain, whether a human's or a vampire's, would still be rather similar. Vampire's brain, of course, would be always much more superior, in which a human's brain would only use ten percent of its capacity, a vampire would use much more of their brain. Differences apart, the way how memories worked was pretty similar, if not completely. One might wish to forget certain memories and yet, either because they're simply a masochist or because that's how it is, their brain could never let the memory fade, no matter how many years passed.Â
Yet, how ironic it was, that when one didn't wish to forget, their brain did everything to make them forget. No matter how hard one tried to retrieve those memories, they would never come back. Sometimes it required many triggers to bring them back, but there was always the possibility that they were gone forever. All their traces burned, unable to ever gather together again. The brain really was an interesting thing.
Here, the case was the first one, when an individual wished to forget but couldn't. But did he? To wish to forget those memories, albeit traumatic, they had been, most of them, happy ones. Memories of a past that, even full of darkness and things he never desired, had had even the faintest light, that once shone the brightest. To forget them, would he really want that?
The answer was debatable, though no words about it would leave the heir's mouth. To even think about it made him extremely uncomfortable, yet since a certain trial, he had been wondering. It was impossible, right? He had died, after all, and with his own eyes Shu had seen what had left of his friend's burned body--
â ... ughhh.. â A somewhat painful groan, mixed with a bit of annoyance, reacted to the brief memories he had of the vampire he had seen in the past trial. It was impossible, and yet the resemblance was something hard to ignore. â edgar... â
fuck titles i'm an orca â open
Well, here was one guy who wasnât a miserably stupid little fish out of water. What a pity.
Shortly after arriving and experiencing the utter complete boredom of ransacking every area of his new room, he felt the need to⊠take a walk. Take in the sights, make a few new friends. In the little time heâd spent here already, heâd realized one thing almost immediately: that he was unable to call upon his original form, which wasnât too much of a negative really. After all, it pretty much just meant he was stuck being this ridiculously attractive all the time. No worries.
Though this place sure was full of uncertainties and he couldnât help admitting to himself that⊠there werenât many of his kind here. Heâd first gone to the edge of the island and surveyed the water â possibly just running off natural instinct for a second. Not a problem. He didnât exactly miss the feel of a dive and the thrill of an underwater chase yet. But on the way back anyone he caught in his vision slinking around pathetically and watching him from a distance just didnât feel familiar, you know? And most of the presences felt weak. Also not a problem though.
It was a thrilling thought, frankly. A bunch of little bodies sauntering around just waiting to be greeted by him. To be roughed up and questioned and poked and⊠maybe he should have been more worried about exactly where this was and how to get out of here, but first. Fun came first. Fun always came first.
âŠAh. There was some idiot a ways off staring at him in a way that was slightly irritating. Well, look at you. At once his natural curiosity was piqued and he circled a bit before approaching this poor sucker, tapping casually at the cigarette that constantly lingered in one hand, ashes trailing along behind him.
He took a long drag of this cigarette and blew that sweet scent of tobacco straight into this personâs face, his mouth ever a smug toothy grin. Idate leaned in uncomfortably tight and close to this stranger. Who would no longer be a stranger, of course, at this rate. Hah.
"So? Whoâre you?" Smile, his expression seemed to say. Entertain me.
(â)â Â Â Â Â Â The moment someone saw the Sakamaki heir awake and up was a moment to be treasured. A rare sight indeed, considering how the vampire would be always found sleeping, submersed in his own dreams, once in a while nightmares of a past he just didn't seem to be able to forget, but dreams nonetheless. Of course however, as much as nothing had ever really caught his attention, there were times Shu just didn't seem to want to sleep. Even for someone lethargic as himself, sometimes he just found himself wanting to, say, take a walk or just change the place where he slept. There were many good places to sleep, the quieter the better, and some were even somewhat pretty, with a good breeze and such.
( of course, his favorite place to sleep has always been the rooms, regardless of whose room, as they were thankfully soundproof. the sakamaki household could really use some of those. )
Either way, albeit not evening, which was even more of a rarity, the eldest brother, with headphones on as per usual, had his feet drag him to the beach, the sea spray being a common scent around there. Though, something didn't seem to be part of the scenery. To someone as inhuman as Shu himself, the sight of another inhuman being has never been a surprise; usually vampires, if not simply familiars. But this time, it was neither of them. In fact, the man before his blue eyes had a resemblance to a sea animal. Curious, although still not really interested. It was none of his business.
But perhaps it was of the other's business to come to him, whatever reason he had for doing so. Understanding people's motives behind their actions has never been something the heir was good at. And understanding the motive behind blowing tobacco into a stranger's face was even more unknown to him. It made the vampire squint his eyes in annoyance, slightly angered by such action, but before he could even question the guy's actions, a question was asked him.
Not like he would answer it, of course.
â what do you think you are doing? â His tone was somewhat choleric, visibly bothered by the unpleasant smoke blew to his face. To think someone would actually do that...

He was in a predicament. One that was unprecedented, even for one who had thousands of years stretching behind them, as he did. This place was⊠unsettling, to say the least, and the explanation heâd been given upon arrival hadnât helped the uneasy feeling in his chest at all. It was something King didnât experience very often, but here, stripped of his Spirit Spear and surrounded by unfamiliar things, it crept into the back of his mind, curling around his thoughts like mist. Heâd scarcely touched the ground since heâd arrived, not since his eyes had flickered open and heâd found himself lying on the beach, the soft whoosh of the waves almost lulling him back to sleep. But heâd been too alarmed for that, his eyes snapping open in general panic at the surroundings heâd found himself in.
Since then, heâd floated safely about ten feet from the ground, his pillow clutched in his arms. Heâd already tried several times to change its form, forcing it into his spear or a ball of light, and even its black hole form. But nothing seemed to work. It had stayed firmly as a regular pillow, true to what heâd been told when heâd woken up. He was completely powerless here. Powerless, and, for the most part, clueless. He needed to know a little bit of what was going on here.
A form below gave him an outlet for that need, a slim figure spread out on a park bench. Sleeping, maybe? It seemed like an awfully odd place to take a nap⊠but maybe the people here werenât provided with beds. Heâd gotten a dorm, apparently, but there was no guarantee it would have any accommodations for comfort⊠Well, whatever the reason was, the person was there, and hopefully heâd provide King with a better understanding of this place. He slowly drifted downward, levitating roughly two feet off the ground as he stared down at the stranger, who he could now confirm was definitely sleeping. A slight poke to his arm was administered, hopefully enough to rouse him.
â Ahh⊠could you tell me a little bit about this place? â
(â)â Â Â Â Â Â Truth be told, there wasn't anything interesting in that island. (Â although there really wasn't anything interesting in his life since many, many years ago, that place was just an addendum ). Curious how some people could even find happiness and time to open a smile in such place, when its true nature was so much darker. Murders, mutual-killing, there was no reason as to why someone could even be happy there, as to why someone would even want to stay there. And yet, they were obliged, all of them. Some had gotten used to it, some were still trying and trying and trying, over and over, already fallen into despair, to find a way out. But not him, no. The said man sleeping in the park bench was neither of those people. Uninterested, apathetically so, although retained from his vampiristic powers, whether he found himself there or back in the Sakamaki mansion didn't really matter.
In fact, it perhaps did a bit. In a lethargic point of view, being there was much better than being back in that hellish of a mansion. Not being obliged every damn night to go to school, the freedom he had there was much bigger than the one back home. Almost pleasant, yet ironic how much he once had wished for all that freedom and now that it was given to him, it little mattered. The amount of time the heir found himself sleeping was just much bigger than before. Nothing else had changed.
And yet, karma perhaps had gotten the best of him. To be poked in his arm, the first few seconds had been completely ignored. Someone checking to see if he was alive? Likely, considering the nature of that place, and almost amusing when one considered the fact his skin was cold as ice and no pulse would ever be found. A voice, unfortunately followed by the poke, had him listening. A newcomer. Asking him for information? What would make someone disturb a person's sleep only to ask for stupid things like information? There were so many other people inhabiting that island, why him.
Though, sadly perhaps for the asker, no words came out from the vampire's mouth. Try better next time.
Heard the annoying gray lady is gone and apparently the dragon hasn't been around.
Time to go back to his room.

Well this guy is just boring. Vriska canât believe she has to share a room with a guy thatâs so plain. There has to be something about him that led him to this school. Besides everyone here has some skill at something. This makes her wonder what is his? SHSL Sleeper?!? SHSL Boring?!?!Â
"And what will you do if I wake you up?"
"You really canât do nothing. So listen to this. Iâll do what I want. If I want to wake you up Iâll do that. Donât tel me what to do alright pretty boy? As long as you can agree to this I wonât bother you." When she finishes Vriska returns to taking stuff out and placing it on the table. Although some stuff was missing she still planned on a way to put these things together. Even if the important parts are the things that are missing.Â
(â)â      How much he hated women like that. She was like that too, although nowhere as confident and bossy, but both of them were incredibly annoying. To be told that he can't do "anything" if she wakes him up, it was almost hilarious. The fact he didn't want to do anything was completely different; it was troublesome, it required effort and Shu knew better than to do troublesome things. Those kind of situations would only tire him out more and more. And yet, how much he despised being talked to like that.
â ahhh you're annoying... you're even worse than that dragon.. â A brief commentary followed by the heir moving on his bed and standing up. It was too annoying to be in the presence of someone who didn't know their place. He had neither obligation nor patience to deal with people like that. â even if that's my room too, that's why i hate sharing rooms with people.. i have no obligation to deal with annoying people like you. if you want to bother someone that badly, go bother someone else. â
Midnight Snack [Shu]
Continuing to scramble around the clusters of smashed glass, his focus fluctuated between the fair haired stranger and the collection of shards gathered in the hem of his T-shirt substituting as a recipient for the mess.
âWell Iâumâ A finger ascended to awkwardly scratch against his cheekâs surface.
Stranger things had occurred over a teenage boy sneaking into the kitchen during the advanced hours of night to feast upon a tardy snack. Though that didnât make Makoto feel any less sheepish about his actions.
âI havenât eaten much since I got here, so I thought Iâd cook something quicklyâŠI hope the noise didnât wake you?â
Or anyone else for that matter, not that the maleâs image quite matched with that of someone whoâd been startled from their bed. Quite the contrary, he appeared neat and fully alert. Casting a quick glimpse over to what had now been rendered a pan of over-boiled rice, Makoto precipitated himself towards the stove. One hand still clutching the the seams of his top while the spare one fumbled around the gas switch to dim the heat.
âAhhâŠit looks like I made a lotâ
The measuring of rice had looked considerably less when heâd initially poured it out, now he was left with enough to feed 2 or 3 extra people at least.
âI donât suppose youâd like any?ââ
(â)â      Humans were weird, extremely so. To be so kind, so careless and act so freely & cheerfully around a strange, did they have no fear? Or perhaps they did, and they loved it. To feel fear, to be terrified of something; that's why they were like that, right? Midnight in a murder school, way past the hour the students should be in bed, and yet the human before the vampire heir seemed ever so happy to be there, so happy to make food and he even dared to offer Shu some. Had he no brains, no sense of danger?
Ah, he knew the answer for that question.
Of course humans had no sense of danger.
â ... â The silent treatment of his was the only answer he could give. Rice? No, not interested at all. Human food didn't interested the eldest Sakamaki not even one bit, if other than rare steak. What he was interested in, even if the tiniest bit, was why the man before him was in the kitchen so late at night. Not that it mattered for Shu, but it's not like he had anything else to do. The guy might as well entertain him a bit.Â
( and, if by at least a bit of luck, provide him some good breakfast. )
â why are you cooking? it's midnight. â
Clavicle, elbows, eyes
Clavicle: What is your favourite way to show and receive affection?
Laughs... for a billion years... Shu really doesn't show much affection. I'd say he's even a bit scared to show affection because it means he has taken a like in someone and the fear he has of losing them starts eating him. But when he does show affection, putting all the torture and fucked up shit aside, he just likes to spend time with someone. Sleep with them, be by their side, even tease them. He's actually somewhat unhealthily possessive, maybe because that's how he is, or maybe because he's still scared to lose people important to him, so he will just want to be with someone all the time.
His favorite way to receive attention would pretty much just know that the other person wants to be in his company. He needs reassurance that they are his and no one else's.
Elbows: How do you react to events with large crowds? (eg. Concerts, Shopping sales)
HE DOES NOT,,, HE STAYS AWAY FROM THOSE,,, AS MUCH AS HE CAN... Seriously, he doesn't like crowded places at all. He enjoys the quietness, he wants to be alone most of the time and crowds are just the very opposite. Once Yui actually dragged him outside and he spent all the time complaining. Don't do that to him.
Eyes: What has changed from how you see the world now and how you saw it 5 years ago?
He's 100+, I don't think 5 years ago and now changed much. He still sees the world as an uninteresting thing.Â
Body Meme
Arms: How do you feel about children, do you want some of your own (or more if you already have some)?

Improvement Meme
I figured a small âimprovement memeâ would be a fine idea for RPers looking to brush up their skills and topple weaknesses, so here it is. Feel free to use the symbols or go for a more in depth response. Yes, you can send any of these to me too.Â
âą: You need to work on character responses, they tend to be bland.
â: Your RP responses are really short/ could have more effort put in!
ÎŁ: Youâre messing up your punctuation here and there.Â
âŒ: Try to improve your spelling/Grammar
âŻ: Try to open up to more RPers, youâre great, but youâre missing out on a lot of potentially amazing RPs!
âČ: Try to be more positive on yourself, thereâs no reason to hate on yourself so much.Â
â : You need to be more respectful.
â: You need to improve your action sequences or reactions of characters.Â
â€: Youâre doing amazing, we can always improve but every RP I read of yours is a joy.
â: Message more RPers and get some more activity going please.Â
â¶: Fight scenes could use more work.
â„: Romantic Scenes can be awkward, do your best to improve on this, and look out for common pitfalls!
â: You might want to take another look at your character/characters and work on them a bit more. Every great character has a flaw or two.Â

It was that time of the year again.
It was funny, how uninterested he was in remembering such date, and yet it seemed impossible to forget. What were birthdays good for? In the past, his dear mother would often remind him, celebrate it as if it was the most important date of the year; he was overwhelmed, it was suffocating. For a long time, his birthday was always remembered as something unpleasant. There were times his young self had wished for a bit of freedom, the best birthday present he could ever ask for, and yet words never left his mouth. There were no memories of him, back in the forest he would always run to, in the day of his birthday. Maybe because it was impossible to leave the castle in such date, everyone always talking to him and taking care of him, spoiling him more & more, but maybe because after a certain incident, even if Shu had tried his hardest, going to the forest held no meanings anymore.
But now, with too much freedom in his hands, his birthday became something monotone, something trivial and unimportant. If not only for the rare, traditional birthday wishes from his younger siblings, such date would pass by without anyone other than himself remembering. It would be soon forgotten, just like he had wished for so many years.
And yet, as if a curse, a burden it was given him in the moment he was born, living with it for the rest of life was not an obligation, but something that was within him. The only thing that could ever allow such date to stop existing was the date of his death, the moment that birthdays didn't matter anymore, for the birthday man being no longer alive. And he knew, that as long as he lived, more and more unpleasant dates would come.Â
Until death came to get him, the heir ought to, not enjoy it, but bear with it in the only way he was so used to.
A very heartfelt birthday card in front of him, next to a rare steak that he knew the delicious taste more than well; to the sound of Rachmaninoff, the day had just begun.
Happy Birthday, Shu Sakamaki.
