Can’t believe it’s been six years since I was in Sweden.

So excited! Just got word I passed my 2nd round of interviews to become a Thrive Mentor with AZ Children’s Association!

First night of summer school. Can’t wait to show off my new slides, lectures & activities!

Here’s at least one (of many) great memories I have of El Paso. Four years ago, my high school orchestra teacher retired. As part of her retirement, she conducted a concert of students, both past and present (think Mr. Holland’s Opus). Many of us had not seen each other in years. That’s a memory I will always keep in my heart.

Huh. That was interesting, and will probably be my last time I’m in El Paso.

I was in a community choir a few years ago and was fortunate to be given a mini solo from one of my favorite musicals, Rent! (The choir sounds beautiful. My part starts at :50)

Four years ago, I graduated with my M.A. in Communication Studies. One of my favorite people gave me, as a graduation gift, a weekend retreat in the presidential suite of a local hotel. That was a magical weekend, and the first time I got to put my feet up in three years. Love you Maresa!

Grades finally submitted after one of the hardest teaching semesters, yet. I need pie.

Getting excited over next week’s visit. This picture was taken when I lived in Oregon. I was a bit more, eh, zoftig(?), back then.

Just made my first mortgage payment. One down, only 359 to go!

Still one of my favorites!

Yes, I’m a supporter of my hometown Congressman running for President, but I’m impressed that someone from El Paso is on the cover of Vanity Fair! Go Beto!
