Kaneki: Assisting on my escapeā¦
Kaneki: ā¦So he planned something like this⦠since the beginningā¦?
Kaneki: Hirako-san. Can I also⦠say goodbye to Arima-san
Hirako hands something to Kaneki.
Hirako: He said ākeep itā.
Kaneki looks at it and he puts on a sad expression.
Kaneki: ā¦
Kaneki: ā¦In the end, I never saw him wear thisā¦
What Kaneki received was the horse necktie pin he gave to Arima during the Christmas party.
āHe, an Ainu.ā
āThe aging eagle.ā
Kaneki recites the same poem he did during V14 in front of Arimaās corpse.
(this is a continuation of the actual poem)
āOld creases, an ill person growing weary. Monkeyās beard.ā
āMajestic attus, holding the makiri, sharpening, sitting down cross-legged, stripped off onko, heart innocent.ā
(onko is a type of plant. remember the pine trees next to arima, yeah those)
āO Toiyan Kuttari (thee who extends from the earth).ā
āAll is good, one shall worship. One shall age, one shall grieve.ā
Kaneki: (The person who killed me.)
"One is white, quickly sparkling.ā
Kaneki: (The person who gave me a name.)
"One disappears. Aaah, how quick.ā
Kaneki: (ā¦The person who entrusted to me hope.)
A panel is shown of Sasaki and Arima walking together with smiles on their faces.
"You were my teacherā¦ā
āAnd my father.ā
(these lines are from Chirin no Suzu)
āThank you. Please always remain aloof.ā
Note:
What I mean with āoneā here is something like āIā but I think āoneā sounds closer.
