This sucks. This really really sucks. But, once we’ve taken our time to cry, and accept what is coming. We can’t give up. We’re about to face a whole lot of challenges. But all these challenges have been faced before. And when you look back, it was scary for them too, but they moved forward because when things got bad they didn’t give up. We can’t give up. It’s gonna be hard, but we have to stay strong no matter what. For those who have gone before us. For those with us now. And for those who will follow behind us. We can’t give up now, we may have lost this battle but the war rages onward, and we must rage with it.

Really upset rn that English has only one word for Love. I’ve started using the 7 Greek words so I can actually express how I feel to those around me. I wanna tell my friends I Philia them so I can tell my girlfriend I Eros, Ludus, and Pragma her, and so I can tell my family who I’ll forever love even when it’s hard to not hate them that I Storge them, cause that’s how I feel towards them. I need Philautia for myself, because sometimes I need and deserve it. I want to express my Agápe for the world and all the people in it. And I’m tired of having only one word that loses its meaning when I say how I feel about pepperoni pizza with the same word I use to tell my girlfriend how incredible she is. It’s not fair and I really dislike English for it and I don’t care if no one else does, I’m gonna start saying what I feel with many different words instead of inflating and deflating the meaning of one

The irony of Killers of the Flower Moon telling the story of how the Osage people were ignored despite the insane amount of corruption and tragedy they went through because it just wasn’t a big enough deal. Now the movie gets ignored and doesn’t win a single Oscar, getting snubbed for best adapted screenplay nominations and Lily Gladstone giving a beautiful performance of a tragic story, losing to Emma Stone, who for the record is an incredible actress, who plays a literal child in an adults body who finds “sexual liberation,” which is an incredibly gross story, but is more sensational than the murders of the Osage people and therefore it can win an Oscar everyone thought Gladstone had in the bag. The way history repeats itself, with the tragic story of the Osage people being ignored again and again because it just wasn’t a big enough deal to matter frankly pisses me off.

I’m just saying. If someone let me loose with a government license to pressure wash anything I wanted, and a good pressure washer. I could make the world a better place very quickly

Maybe im in the minority here, but im really tired of the romanticization/glorification of dangerous behaviors. I’m tired of seeing teens die because for some reason it’s cool to drive at ridiculous speeds. There is nothing wrong with driving the speed limit. There’s nothing wrong with wearing a helmet while riding a bike or rock climbing. There’s nothing dumb about wearing a life jacket when you go swimming. Most people are not good swimmers, but most people I know would not be caught dead with a life jacket if they weren’t forced to wear it. There is nothing dumb about safety. There’s nothing lame about safe behaviors. You’re not a loser if you don’t drive at dangerous speeds, you’re a responsible citizen. You’re not a lame person for wearing a helmet, you’re not boring for wearing a life preserver, especially if you are not a trained swimmer. You’re not dumb for avoiding dangerous situations. Stop acting like there’s something wrong with being safe and responsible, because there isn’t. Please for the sake of your own life, and for all those who love you, just understand. There is nothing wrong with being safe.

I love how Ke Huy Quan is now an Oscar Winning Actor, one of the highest prestiges of acting, and every single photo you find of this man with another celebrity looks like when a fan sees a celeb at the airport. He’s so excited and pointing at them and they all have the regular “selfie with fan” look and I adore it.

In the spirit of the many primary elections across the US today, I propose a new voting idea. The anti-vote. You trade off getting to vote for a candidate for stealing a vote from a candidate. I think this would really spice up elections, and make them more fun. Again, you choose to either vote for someone, or anti-vote for someone, you don’t get to do both. That would just make the general elections even more stupid.

Just realized that Anakin had even more reason to lose his faith in the Jedi Order than is usually talked about for two reasons. Obi Wan was given the rank of master for killing the first Sith in a thousand years, allowing him to skip being a Jedi Knight entirely. Except, we discover in The Clone Wars that Obi Wan in fact did not kill Maul. Meaning he was not the first Jedi to kill a Sith in a millennia, in fact, Anakin was. Given Anakin kills Dooku in Revenge of the Sith, which is many years before Obi Wan finally kills Maul, who was arguably not even Sith anymore. The Jedi Council was made acutely aware of Maul’s survival in The Clone Wars, and still did not reverse their decision to make Obi Wan a master. However, all Anakin had needed to become a master was train a Padawan to Knighthood. Something he absolutely did for Ahsoka, until she was forced out of the Jedi Order for reasons that were proven to be unjust. She would have become a Knight if she returned. Anakin would have become a Master if she returned. He earned the right to become Jedi Master far more than Obi Wan. The one reason Obi Wan got promoted ended up being a sham, and he faced no consequences. Meanwhile, Anakin fulfilled those same qualifications by killing Dooku, and was given nothing. The more and more you look into the Jedi Order the more and more Anakin saying “I see through the lies of the Jedi” comes true.

Eating gummy bears while listening to Bobby McFerrin’s “Don’t Worry, Be Happy” and just kinda realizing that even when life isnt as groovy, it’s the simple things that add up and make it all worth it.

Gotta love how I see tumblr accounts be inactive for like, 5 days, and I’m like “dang, that account must’ve died.” Meanwhile I’m cruising on two weeks like “I’m still thinking of something”
