- A stumbles across B, a lost, injured hiker, on a secluded trail

- A sees a group ganging up on B and gets involved to break it up

- A and B’s orders get mixed up at a restaurant. One of them ends up having an allergic reaction

- A comes to a mandatory meeting sick. B is the only one who notices how miserable they are and offers them tissues

- “Hey,” A says, sliding over on the bar stools to get B’s attention. “Don’t drink that. I think your date’s trying to drug you.”

- A grabs B’s arm, pulls them close and begs in a panicked whisper, “Pretend you know me, please! Someone’s following me.”

- A and B sit next to each other on public transport. B keeps fidgeting and whimpering, and A realizes that their clothes smell like blood

- B stumbles into the street and A’s car nearly hits them. They get out to yell at them, only to realize that B is already badly injured
