So (our)Ciel was the one who started the fire that burned the Phantomhive mansion down?
Well, I guess one of my two theories was half-correct then.
Hopefully the reason behind it wasn’t the typical “I did it because I was jealous of my sibling” cliché. It’s far from impossible, but it’s a bit too obvious, isn’t it? Or it could be that the fire wasn’t actually (our)Ciel’s fault but he thinks it was/blame’s himself for it. Because, somehow, I doubt Toboso would make such a dislikable main character who would kill off his family like that. Hell, not even Light Yagami did that.
Regardless of who did it, I still don’t see why Vincent and Rachel had to die. If it was (our)Ciel who did it, their deaths would’ve been pointless since he would’ve become the heir anyway after the death of (real)Ciel. And if it was (real)Ciel, the only reason why he would do it (That I can imagine) would be if he was pure evil. Then again, he seems to enjoy seeing (our)Ciel suffer and brutally killed Agni without remorse, so I wouldn’t be surprised if it was him at this point.
I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what happens next. Only a month left until the next chapter is released.
