She knew it was wrong to spectate without really making herself known but still! How could she not stop and listen to hear the other sing? It was as if an angel had graced her — Okay, yeah maybe she was being dramatic but Chika was someone who knew just how hard it was to sing this good. From what her friend had told her, and what memories resurfaced it took her a long time to be any decent. So she couldn’t help but form some admiration. 

Though she’s pulled from her fangirling mode by a clearing of the throat. Her hands fly up out of embarrassment, flailing them about trying to think of some excuse.

“I was just walking by but your voice–oh… I hope it’s okay if I could stay to listen more…”

❛   every time your frozen memories come to thaw ... ~   ❜   tonight, she was to sing at deviance. so without much time before the performance and her classes, she only had time to sing during the short passing between her teaching schedule.    ❛  no ... the note went like this, didn’t it ... ?   ❜   she spoke softly to herself as she stepped over to the piano, sitting down and allowed her fingers to gently grace the keys.    ❛   yes ... mhm, i was right. so it goes ...   ❜   soon, eva began to settle into the melody once again and began to sing, vibrato growing strong, a crescendo,   ❛   bit by bit ... melts away, till there’s nothing at all  ~   ❜

“Hey, Eva! Sorry, I mean Professor!”

Yakumo spotted her walking down one of the university hallways, notebooks and curriculum in hand. She emanates quite a monotone atmosphere of loneliness, one that Yakumo still feels a little intimidating to approach, but he’s known Eva a little longer than all the other professors on campus. That also means he might interact a little more casually than he should, but old habits die hard.  

Catching up, he stops in front of her.

“Hey, sorry for interrupting, I know you’re probably a bit busy at the moment but I might need your guidance for a sec. You can make some room for a faithful TA, right?”

He clears his throat, trying to find the right way to word this.

“We got a, uh, karaoke night comin’ up at the nightclub this week. They probably expect me to stand up there and belt out a song at some point. And uh, you’ve got a really nice voice on you, so…” 

“Reckon you could teach me to sing a little better? I’m tone-deaf as a bat. Heh.”

busy, busy, busy like a bee as some would say about little eva. just finishing with her meeting with the fashion society, she had much to do for their next little hosted event and not longer after she began to check things off her mental checklist. she heard the muted sound of a familiar voice, startled by suddenly being halted by none other than yakumo. she placed a hand on her chest, easy ... easy, yakumo is fine ...    ❛   y - yes, yakumo? ... what is it?   ❜   she idly began to shift a bit in place, easing her grip on the notebooks in her arms as she looked at the other as he spoke. guidance? whatever for? last she checked, yakumo was a very capable man. at most, she sometimes found herself confiding in him when she was unsure of something. whether it be personal distress or an approach to a lesson plan.
