I find Army is extremely judgemental of different opinions, if you don’t move and think like everyone else you get attacked, blocked and basically ran off the internet. I just really fucking hate that.

I’ll post my own opinions or insecurities here but I also encourage other army to send in asks about stuff they want off their chest about BTS or shipping as an outlet because I know you aren’t allowed to voice your opinions in this fandom.

You might have seen the small drama on Vmin twitter, but even if you haven’t first of all good for you. Secondly, as a Vminie I am sure you’ve heard it many times before either way. Vmin are PLATONIC soulmates. Don’t ship them, they are JUST FRIENDS. etc. (I mean we must all be quite tired of it by now.)

The thing is….

1. I am sure ALL members are actually friends, or even consider each other as family. If it doesn’t stop you from shipping all of them don’t dictate what other shippers should do. If you can ship one ship but need to insist others doesn’t ship a rival ship that’s you being a hypocrite no matter what reason you might try to tell yourself.

2. Falling in love with a best friend is a real thing. It happens and it does not make shipping two people who consider each other best friends (and soulmates) impossible or immoral.

3. You need to remember that shipping is FANTASY! You can’t dictate why or who someone ships because it’s based on preference and imagination. 

4. Taehyung himself has a song with the lyrics “are you my best friend” and “how could I know one day I would wake up feeling more”, if even he seems to believe falling for a friend is possible then who are shippers to say we shouldn’t ship Vmin.

5. Do these people know anything about being LGBT+ and how many couples have referred to each other through history?

(Just gonna leave this scene from Bohemian Rhapsody here, don’t mind me.)

“Jimin is my only friend“, sure. But honestly it doesn’t have to mean “Jimin is only my friend.” And even if it did it shouldn’t matter because once again, shipping is fantasy not reality.

Anyways, sorry for this rant. I am sure I am preaching to the wrong crowd (as Vminies I am sure most of you are already well aware of what I am saying in this post), but I just need to went my frustrations. It just amazes me how hypocritical some people can be. I really need people to understand what shipping is and what it isn’t and let other shippers ship in peace.
