Holidays, the best part of my life - not just the travelling ones, but the stay at home do nothing ones too.
Unfortunately this easter was a drag, mostly because the majority of my friends from leicester decided to go to universities where their term times are different, this meant that the whole gang couldn’t be together at the same time. Due to this I was forced to either do nothing and be bored or go out with a small group of mates - especially ones who I don’t like as much.
Although the term times put a slight downer on my break, easter weekend was amazing. My family put together some phenomenal tasting food for the whole clan to enjoy, not only was this on one day but throughout the entire weekend, where I got the chance to catch up with my favourite family members and meet the new editions to family who were born very recently. Although the food is most important and enjoyable part of family gatherings, the entertainment value is usually second place. When all the dads and uncles get pissed off their heads and start getting political and you just sit there and enjoy the drama - it’s a like a free dinner and show.
However I couldn’t just go out with mates and enjoy home cooked food this holiday as I had plenty of work to do - thanks Paula, so u had to code a website and all the other additions to her module which extremely jarring as I did it on time - it’s not like I left it all to the last 2 days. But I pulled through the holiday and got back to cov in time to live out the rest of my first year of uni.
