V K Industries (VKI), a partnership firm, was set up in the year 1988 at Adoni by Sri Vitta Kristappa and Sri Vitta Satish Kumar. VKI is primarily into processing oilseeds. Later, in the year 1991, a Solvent Extraction Plant was set up in the name of V K Extractions (VKE) .
V K Group has rich experience in processing Groundnut, Sunflower, Castor, and Cotton seeds. We are proud to have the experience of job processing for conglomerates such as M/s Agro Tech Foods Limited, an affiliate of ConAgra Foods, USA, and the Australian Wheat Board.
In the year 2016, the Cotton Seed Scientific Processing unit with a capacity of 200 Metric Tons/Day was established. Currently, VKI is processing cotton seeds.
1-cut Cotton Linter
Cotton Linter is the short cotton fiber remaining on the seed after ginning cotton. Linters are recovered from cottonseed by Delinting process. Cotton is rich in cellulose content and Linters have various applications. It is used in the manufacture of coarse cotton yarn, high-quality mattresses.
2-cut Cotton Linter
Linters are also used in the production of explosives, cellulose acetate, rayon, ethylcellulose, lacquers, and many plastics and other products requiring high-quality cellulose as the raw material. This product is exported to countries such as the USA, Japan, China.
