         adelaide held back the urge to gag at the mention of valentine’s day. to each it’s own but she felt like the holiday was overrated. “ it’s funny how you think someone would be genuinely interested in me. if it’s not the social media clout, it’s the money. ” she looked down at the ground, looking at her shoes. “ and i have been used for clout before. ” she looked around, making sure there was nothing in the seat before she sat down, smoothing her dress out. “ i don’t think i’m finding anyone tonight. ” she shrugged her shoulders.

“ beautiful  and  humble  to  boot  , ”  jun  laughed  around  the  rim  of  his  glass ,  though  instead  of  being  deterred  by  the  stranger  who  knew  her  worth  and  didn’t  shy  away  from  making  it  well  known  :  he  indulges  it . shifting  his  weight  backwards  on  his  elbow ,  arm  slouched  on  the  bar that’d  evidently  already  seen  it’s  fair  share  of  suitors  -  the  taller  quirks  his  brow  ;  gaze  fleeting  past  the  woman  ,  beyond  the  sea  of  loveless hopefuls  ,  and  towards  a  plainly  dressed  man  cradling  a  camera , very much  in  full  sight  .   “  i  was  actually  directing  my  pointed  look  toward  the  paparazzo  aiming  his  fifty  foot  bazooka  of  a  camera  in  our  direction , sorry  you  got  caught  in  the  crossfire .  i  can  make  it  up  to  you  , though . maybe  by  replenishing  your  drink  ?  ”

echo can immediately feel the heat climb up his neck and tint his cheeks pink from being called out so blatantly. but there’s a reason !! he’s not just being a creep. ❝ i mean —  you look great it’s just, ❞ echo clears his throat, already feeling like a freaking idiot when he shuffles closer. ❝ to preface … i’m not trying to be creepy. i was trying to find a discreet way to tell you that you have toilet paper stuck to the bottom of you shoe. which, by the way, you have toilet paper stuck to the bottom of your shoe. ❞

For the most part Yohan had simply been lost in thought staring blankly without processing what he was looking at, it wasn’t until she spoke he realized he’d been staring at her for god knows how long. “You are beautiful, I’ll give you that.” Yohan replied, brushing a hand back through his hair. “But I’m gay, so you’re not quite my type.” He joked with a playful wink. “My apologies though, I was zoned out a bit there, I didn’t meant to stare.” 

        adelaide rolled her eyes, instantly shaking her head. “ i mean, if i do leave tonight with a valentine, then so be it, but it’s highly unlikely. ” she shrugged her shoulders. “ it took some persuasion for me to be here in the first place. ” she crossed her arms, moving a strand of hair from her face. “ i think you’d like to see me with a valentine, wouldn’t you? ”

she couldn’t quite help the, very unelegant, snort from escaping her at the question.  “ oh, absolutely. never once in my life have my eyes perceived such beauty as yours. “   the dry sarcasm of her voice was accompanied by a gesture she made in vivian’s general direction.  “ actually i was thinking… do you think they have a pool around here ? “ 

“ now, that kinda sounds like you’re accusing me of something. ” flashes pearly whites in most taunting manner, head tilting to the side without shifting gaze. “ would it really be that bad if i was stunned by your beauty? ” shrug of shoulders closely follows inquiry, mirroring other as own arms fold over chest.

“ so... ” she slinks closer, a smirk dancing across her lips. “ has anyone caught your eye? it’s a valentine’s event after all—people should have heart eyes for someone. especially with how impeccably dressed everyone are. ”

        “ the bartender thinks you’re cute. do what you want with this information. ” adelaide shrugged her shoulders.  @viviantion​

taking a sip of her drink, she absentmindedly nods before noticing the other’s prolonged silence. her gaze to shifts from the crowd and meets their endless stare. “ has my beauty stunned you? ” she deadpans, setting the drink down before crossing her arms.

Dean let his eyes run over everything inside the hood, taking in the familiar mechanics as he looked for something that could be causing the issue. “You have a small leak.” He mused a moment later. “The coolant is leaking onto your engine, and since it’s leaking, it’s not doing it’s job properly and your engine is running hotter, so there’s where your smoke is coming from.”

“ if anything, it makes that skirt look better on you. ” he said snidely as he stood up from the bench. he took a few steps towards her, still keeping a bit of distance between them. “ it’s still healthier than all the artificial things inside buildings. ” his head tilted to slightly before he spoke again. “ plus i can tell you need the sunlight. ”

        adelaide’s eyes looked at the waiter who seemed rightfully hesitant but eventually left. she was probably one of, if not, the youngest people here at 22. she had every right to be as bored as she was now. she gently moved the empty champagne flute towards the other, nodding her head. “ who says i’m completely sober? ” she admitted, lifting to flute to make it easier for the other. believe it or not, at parties like these, adelaide’s alcohol tolerance gets significantly stronger. she’s already had a few glasses of champagne in her system. “ we should propose a toast. may we leave this party in one piece. ”

parker rolled his eyes as he overheard the woman. he turned on the bench to look back at her. “ you know, it’s probably because parks are full of fresh, non-recycled air that actually helps your lungs. ” his tone was snide and matter of fact. he let his eyes flick over the young woman in front of him. “ plus, dirt like that’s actually healthy for your skin. ”
