Literally nothing at all on that wanted poster was correct, 1. He’s not from NJ, 2. His freaking real name isn’t even Neal Cassidy, and 3. he was born like 200 years before his stated dob. Baelfire was like 14-16 when he wound up in Neverland, so physically he would have been that age when he got to the real world. He doesn’t ever mention being in the foster system or anything, so we can assume he probably avoided it. And if his info is on a wanted poster that would mean he would have needed a kind of form of identification. A fake one. Lying and saying he was maybe, 21 or older would have helped him gain all the benefits of being a legal adult! Like certain jobs and staying out of the foster system. Also the poster was shown for like half a second, I don’t know how closely the viewers were supposed to look at it. Multiple times during the show they were both called “teens” or “kids” when referring back to their past relationships. Pretty sure Mr. Gold calls what they had a “teenage love affair” or smthing a long those lines. Also again, literally nothing on that poster is true.

That being said It’s hard to argue what age he is exactly when the actors portraying supposed young Neal and Emma were literally just grown adults that the show just wanted us to believe they were young. And in real life the actors have a a 1-2 year difference. And guys let’s not forget ouat is TERRIBLE at age consistency.

Plus if we are going to hate on Neal for an age gap that is kinda up for debate, let’s take a quick look at all the other questionable age gaps. Rumple/Belle, Killan/Emma, Hades/Zelena, and our favorite non canon ship Regina/Emma! Not saying that if Neal WAS that much older it would have been okay, I just don’t believe he was and I’m pointing out that for some reason people only ever hate on Baelfire/Emma!

And guys let’s not forget Regina is canonically a rpist. But people still adore her! It’s stupid, bad writing, and out of character but still a canonical thing. People just extend more mercy for this than Neal.

His and Rumple’s relationship was one of the absolute BEST parts of the show, and his and Hooks relationship was BARELY touched on (would it have been super complicated? Yes, but we don’t watch ouat for its simplicity). The writers were sitting on a gold mine, and instead of digging they blew it up.

Imagine how interesting it would have been to see him, Emma, and Regina figuring out how to parent Henry, together. And how Rumples parenting would have had an effect on how Neal would parent.

And the emotional weight of a lot of the later seasons and arcs would have been much heavier! Like imagine if Neal had went to the underworld to help save Hook, just to meet with his mother again. That could have been peak! Especially since I feel a lot of Neal’s character was left so unfinished! We never see his real feelings towards his mother, or fully how he felt about Hook (even more so since I still think Emma would have ended up with Hook). Imagine what would have happened with the Dark Swan arc!! Neal’s history with the Dark one could have made for such an amazing story!

Omg and I haven’t even mentioned what his and Belle’s relationship could have been! Them being the only two people to love the Dark One, THE POSSIBILITIES WERE ENDLESS!

Him dying wasn’t really what I have an issue with, don’t get me wrong I love Neal and will defend him till the day I die, but it could have been more impactful if it was later. I think one of the reasons fans don’t like him/hate him is because of how little time we got to know him as an adult.

When Aph takes Kiki to the Southern Wolf Tribe they literally state it. The pendent was used by a tribe of strictly women, so when used by a woman and a man the result was a werewolf baby.

Now does that mean Bodolf isn’t the father? No, not necessarily, but is there any evidence for him being the father? No.

I’ve always subscribed to the theory that Lenora’s dad might be Zane, mostly bc Lenora has black hair, and it’s the kind of evil thing Zane would do but that’s just speculation. It’s entirely possible it’s just some random guys kid, which would be super tragic, cuz if it is some rando, I doubt he would have any idea.

Something I think would be super cool is if Jessica could somehow bring in Kiki and Lenora in future seasons of Mystreet, and not necessarily confirm anything but hint at who her father could be. (Or maybe clear it up if she ever brings back Mcd 😔). That being said if she were to do that, I would prefer if it was just an Easter egg and not like changing the lore of mystreet. Imagine mystreet Zane being the father in that universe 💀. Or it could be implied in any of her other series!

Baby me has been waiting for YEARS for this! I also heard a rumor that’s it’s going to be really emotionally heavy and I’m so nervous/excited! I wonder if she’s gonna kill off characters? If it’s Zane im gonna sob

Okay maybe hate is too harsh but I just don’t like the guy! at the start I chalk up a lot of his creepiness to Jess’s outdated and lowkey poor writing but it’s hard to separate when that’s all the character is. I’ve been a fan of mcd/mystreet for like, over 10 years and ever since I was a kid i did NOT like him. (Also side note that’s not all that important but yk how everyone loves his voice? It dose not do it for me, no hate to the va I just don’t find his voice as attractive as other people do)

He was such a pussy in mcd when it came to Aphmau and her feelings towards any guy. Like his tantrum with Aph and Travis when Travis was introduced. But I think he’s better characterized in mcd, some of the things he does in mystreet are way less annoying when hes in the mcd world vs mystreet. (Like when he calls Aphmau “M’lady)

Even though Aph is pretty canonically with Aaron in every universe, if he wasn’t in mcd Aph totally should have ended up with Garroth. He was the way better option! Even after this little betrayal spat (which I think was way ooc for Garroth but they need something to drive the plot so whatever)

In mystreet he makes me even more mad for some reason! OH AND DONT GET ME STARTED ON IN PDH! That was the worst he’s ever been characterized, well ig it’s not all that inaccurate to how guys are in high school but it still makes me mad. I have a lot of issues with pdh but that’s a whole other can of worms. He’s flirting makes me wanna jump out of my skin and run into on coming traffic. And the way he got mad at APH for kissing him and Garroth was so stupid, she didn’t do ANYTHING!

A lot of people complain about how he isn’t in anything after like, season 2 of mystreet but imma be honest, that’s when the show started to get better. And to be honest a second time, when I was a kid I didn’t even notice his absence until I saw people complaining.

He was just in the new season of Mermaid Tales, and so far I didn’t dislike him as much so at least there’s that.

In short he pmo and I find him annoying. He acts so weird around Aph in both universes. Again a lot of his creepiness is because of poor writing decisions, that was a product of its time, but unlike a lot of the other male characters he never had a chance to improve (not that the standards are very high either for the other guys). he is pathetic in many cases, specifically in mcd and no matter how hard I try to conform I can’t bring myself to like Laurence zvhal. Whenever he is set up to make a joke or in a comedic situation I don’t even smile.
