This blog is about what Vital Instruments non-Gachiakuta characters would have if they were Givers.
What is Gachiakuta and what are Givers?
Gachiakuta is a dystopian action shÅnen manga series written and illustrated by Kei Urana. The graffiti in the series is done by Hideyoshi Andou. The series has an anime adaptation.
Gachiakutaās power system works like this: if any object is cared for and loved for a long time, it gets infused with Anima and becomes a special weapon called a Vital Instrument. People with this power are called Givers.
There are two types of Vital Instruments. If the Giver wants to get the most out of an object, it becomes an Attacker-type Vital Instrument. If the Giver wants to hold on to an object and protect it as long as they can, it becomes a Defender-type Vital Instrument.
Q: How does this blog work?
A: Sometimes I'll make a post asking what Vital Instrument a character would have and sometimes you can send me an ask about what Vital Instrument you think a character would have and why. Either way, I'll post a poll asking if that would be their Vital Instrument and sometimes follow up with a reblog about its powers and name.
For example, would Viola from PokƩmon X and Y have her camera as her Vital Instrument?
Q: What if a character is in the public domain in some way?
A: Pick an adaptation or retelling featuring them. For example, Orpheus in Hadestown (2016) and Dracula in the Castlevania games.
Q: What if a character is from a franchise?
A: Then please be specific what iteration of the character youāre talking about. For example, are you talking about Leonardo from the IDW TMNT comics or Mutant Mayhem?
