more specifically, how it CHANGES the world

those ones where magic appears one day with dungeons and stuff? sure alls good

but if magic/superpowers existed since the start, youd expect me to believe there's big cities, a whole form of governance, economics and daily lives almost identical to the real world? hell nah

like if theres even something as simple as water or fire magic it would change EVERYTHING

to how people rule to how societies function and the latest trends and scientific developments. everything.

the scale of how much the world has changed is proportional to how useful the magic is by like the power of 5

skyscrapers? inconceivable. they probably have floating constructs in the air or used their stronger strength to dig down and live underground

electricity? they probably have an alternate fuel source which was so convenient to use they didn't see the need to innovate. they could boil the water themselves or transport themselves if they wanted

money? in a world with such vast power differences they probably ain't gonna be confined with such a fickle construct, probably using survival of the fittest and strength and basically their powers as a social hierarchy, so there's probably no actual democracy

people don't work normal jobs nor is there going to be school and academic systems since they definitely be doing field work after they are born, put those powers to use. like isn't magic the fundamentals what for teach in an era where all the knowledge is collected just train

the fundamentals of science are just completely different like there is no way that science and magic just coexist like slapping on 'mana' with real world science, and how technology is made like electronics and healthcare is completely different

It could have been blanket, mutual hatred between the 2 of them but it isn't (thank God). Camille claims that he's going to hunt Char down and kill him, but he himself said he doesn't know if he could actually do it. And I mean that's his brother, his best friend from all that time ago. How could he bear to kill the person who knows him best and he knows better than anyone else? And the worst part is that Char still loves him, in his own twisted way that isn't exactly love but you can't say it definitely isn't. Char resents Camille, yes, for all the power and affection he had, but he still wants Camille by his side even when he knows they were destined to be ripped apart by some godforsaken prophecy carved onto their souls long before they were even born, but yet he still tries and tries anyways because he may hate Camille for all the things that could have been his but he never hated him.

And so Camille has to live with the idea that he created a monster from his blood, except that that monster bears his face and could very well have been him. Staring into a mirror and all he can see is His face, same nose and lips and eyebrows and irises, except that it's not really Him because he never smiled the way He does and no matter how hard he tries he could never do it, perhaps as a mockery from whatever ancient beings that created the prophecy that they were always meant to be that way, that their fates were never meant to align to a happy ending. That old wound pulsing on his back, a reminder that He stole what was his and turned it against him, used it to serve the people that slaughtered their parents. And perhaps he should have left him to die there, when those Landbreakers came and wrecked Sesqa, but of course he wouldn't, because there is no universe where he would choose not to save him. So he chases after Him, endlessly, because it was all his fault that he's even alive, that He is here to haunt him for the rest of eternity and he doesn't know what he would do otherwise.

Char taunts him with his own blood, hovering just out of reach, perhaps because to him this is all a game and none of this matters. He offers Camille to join him, laughs when he rejects him over and over again because of course. It was always meant to be this way. They can't escape their fates, born of magic and witchcraft and powers beyond their comprehension, but he can try, fight uselessly against the world that cursed them to be this way even when he full-heartedly believes that That is the destiny awaiting them at the end.

well anyways I didn't complete monstadt quest but I walked to liyue sumeru and then Fontaine and I'm currently enjoying my time exploring court of Fontaine and being entertained by the npcs like the two melusines and just hearing the music that I hear on Spotify and going 'oh this song plays here' while looking at the design of fontaine

although I cant get much primogems cos I'm underleveled and can't beat anything

really enjoy the whole of fountain of belleau music like the European and fairy tale themes except now I'm seeing the release of snezhnaya and I thought it wasn't a big deal until I heard the music.

like holy shit another one I'll be obsessed over I love the Russian vibe or whatever origin the music is

turns out I really like winterscape too and winter inspired characters like the teased ones in the trailer so I really wish to get to snezhnaya and do the quests and stuff and gotta grind every single archon quest and grind god knows how much to get pulls

Im guessing the rest is more natural sounding depicting the climate of the place such as

monstadt focusing on plains and wind

liyue focusing on patterns and rocky mountains

sumeru focusing on desert and tropic themes

inazuma is not bad it's just very traditional Japanese which is a different reason i like

natlan is very mountainous and rocky... haven't seen enough of it yet to judge

nod krai is very Nordic so it's nice enough I guess

it's just I prefer the uncommon theme of fontaine and it feels fantastical and magical to me rather than encapsulating the essence of the real world inspirations
