Okay so for me, I will listen to any one of her albums at any time of year for any reason BUT there’s certain Grouper albums that’s are more seasonally “mutable” (therefore, better for those transitional moments) than others and ones that are more “fixed”. For instance, the more “fixed” ones for me would be “Alien Observer” (summer) Dragging A Dead Deer Up A Hill (late fall ESPECIALLY WHEN EVERYTHING IS WET), and Dreamloss (Winter). The ones that I find more mutable/transitional are The Man Who Died In His Boat and Shade (which both happen to be compilation albums). Cover The Windows And The Walls i find to be transitional too but for the seasons that “touch” winter if that makes sense.
