Soul and its Resistance
Have you ever thought that where does your soul go after it leaves your body?
Do you think you have done anything for your soul throughout the day?
Does this fear you that what will happen to you after your death?
A recent experience just left me surprised by the thought that the body has no relevance once the soul leaves it. It is like performing a formality to cremate your body so that the task is done from your end. Even the term is replaced from your name to dead body. There is nothing to literally do with your body.
But throughout our life we have just done enough to take care of our body, to become something in life, to maybe just establish our family and have a position in everyone’s eyes. At the end everything is just burnt in the fire with faded memories, few advices and just an abbreviation of the term late before your name.
Over the years no efforts are made for the soul to nurture it with good thoughts, good habits, good advices and more importantly good sacraments. It is said that the body experiences unbelievable pain at the time of death because all the energies are accumulated at one place from where it leaves our body. In some cases it is from the mouth, in some from hands while in some from eyes too. Have you ever seen so? Do you really feel how does one feel at that time? The last breath actually marks the end of your soul. The way it leaves the body marks the next birth. It is a continuous process. Do you really feel that your end should be peaceful and not frightening? Those fancy statements of couples to die in each other’s arms are not what are discussed here. But whether your soul should leave your body peacefully and attain a good birth to do good karmas again is what is of importance.
Karma has a direct relationship with the soul. The more the good karma, the more the soul is pure. Theory of karma is simply stated as what you do is what will come back to you. This is one of the reasons why schools and elders have taught us basic morals like helping others, speaking good words, behaving wisely and not to let impure thoughts take a part in us. Thus with growing age we practice them more and more and try to become a better human every day. But we often forget to take out time for our soul in the busy schedule. As one grows up, there is hardly any time for us to give a minute to one.
I know this thought might come up to you that there are people who are going to temples, performing religious rituals, involved in social activities. But are you sure you put in all your soul in it while performing it? Like you don’t think about anything else at that point of time while performing them? Is it that you are doing justice by performing it with half hearted? NO. This is where we deceive ourselves. Just by performing them and not being involved in it fully is not going to give your soul any purity or peace!
Making soul absolute light can be done when it is feeded with good thoughts. Reading books, involving yourself in some good tasks is what can help you have a light and easy growing age. One is first noticed by its humanity and then by its degrees or work factors. Thus, the basics should be built strong. Also, they should be built strong only for yourself, not for the purpose of showing others as it again leads to deceiving your soul. Remember, you live only for yourself, not for this birth but for the various births that you shall take after your death. Do what you do for yourself; it will give you more happiness.
A soul attains enlightenment when it is absolutely free of all the karmas. For this one needs to be true to oneself, try getting to know your own weaknesses and work on them, help others in coming out of their too, build yourself strong about your values and ethics, have a proper knowledge on what is right and what is wrong, being able to judge and get the best solution on the basis of your right knowledge and do each and every activity, thought and action with a clean mind and clean heart.
This life is too short to live for running after fame, food, malpractices, deceiving others and performing ill actions. Rather, involve yourself in some good thoughts, activities and words which help you to enhance your soul even after death. It is rightly said, that one comes and goes alone, the only thing that stays constant is with the soul along with its karmas. So focus on giving some time to yourself and your soul for a better you for a better today and a tomorrow.
