alright i’m working on chapter 6 of my roxy fic but until that’s done here’s a list of some differences between my au and the s3 canon (obviously aside from the whole premise of the fic)
this one’s obvious but i had to mention it anyway - fausta doesn’t exist
on that note, roxy will not be involved with the studio. hell, girl will barely be interacting with anyone but león
this one’s important and one of the biggest differences - germán is still an abusive piece of shit, even if he’s mostly 'alright' now. yes he’s not doing anything too insane or germán-like but that doesn’t erase the years of abuse. so no, we are NOT sweeping that under the rug. him and vilu are not on good terms. especially after what he did to her last year (here she did not forgive him at the end of s2. that was her last straw). she mostly just tolerates him now and tries to not get into fights with him but they do not have a good relationship and you will see how she feels about him during the course of the fic (spoiler alert: it’s not good.)
gery and clement probably still exist and don’t change all that much as characters but i will literally never mention them. gery was a pretty big reason of why vilu dressed up as roxy in the show but obviously that’s not the reason here and i feel like vilu got over her jealousy pretty quickly. and pretty much same thing for clement. león kinda stopped caring. so yeah, as characters, they’re the same but the impact they have on leonetta is ABYSMAL and neither gery is close with león or clement with vilu. and the shit they pull throughout s3 is also not gonna be here (though, consider an even funnier scenario: they do try to pull the same shit they tried to pull in the show but literally none of it works. their plans backfire so badly and that you're not even aware they were trying to do anything in the first place lol)
now, something else to mention
while i will only be writing from vilu and león’s povs and i’ll mostly be writing things that involve leonetta, the other stuff will still be happening, i will probably just not write about it
like priscila and germán are together, they’re getting married and there WILL be a chapter that takes place during the wedding which i’m actually very excited about :>
as of the start of this fic, diego and fran ARE dating and are keeping it a secret and vilu WILL find out but i can’t tell you any more than that (at one point last week while deciding all this i was like ‘shouldn’t i have been writing francesca slightly differently then? like shouldn’t you be able to tell she’s hiding something or feeling guilty?’ but then i really thought of it and… not really? the only reason we see fran feeling guilty and stuff is cause we’re the audience and we see everything. this is from vilu’s pov and vilu pretty much has no idea about any of this? and maybe sometimes she thinks fran is acting a little sus but i doubt she’d really think too much of it)
ok, now something else important that’s not really a difference cause it’s just… not in the show - león’s family situation
we will meet both of his parents
his mother is called liliana and she’s lovely. she is just wonderful and she’s a great mom and she is why león is so sweet and caring and why he’s so respectful to women. león has ALWAYS been a mama’s boy <3 and she absolutely adores vilu as well and i just can’t wait until i get to writing her :)
his dad on the other hand…. big yikers. his name is daniel and he’s just an asshole. he’s a rich businessman who puts work above his family, above his wife and son and is generally an abusive husband AND an abusive father. he treats león like shit and is always disappointed in him (also lowkey disapproves of him studying music because he wanted him to follow in his footsteps). and he’s also a pretty absent father, emotionally and physically. and he is the reason león was the way he was pre series and at the very start of s1. it was something he got from his father, he thought he had to act like him to get anywhere in life, but it never felt right so when he met vilu, he was inspired by her and her kindness and decided he did NOT want to be like his father. also his father has anger issues. and image is overall very important to him. and he’s friends with priscila. and he liked león dating ludmila so when they broke up he was disappointed. and while he does not like vilu (he thinks she’s ‘too loud’ and ‘arrogant’ and thinks she ‘dresses too inappropriately’ (🤢🤢🤢🤢)), he does like germán and he thinks león dating his (germán’s) daughter is a good image for the company or whatever so he ultimately approves of the relationship because it's beneficial for him (basically if vilu wasn’t a millionaire’s daughter, he wouldn’t approve lol)
