Wait is that THIS cat?
IT IS
Dating and marriage is so scary. What if he looks at me and is only able to see "catholic ✅️ not bad looking ✅️ good with kids ✅️" so he decides I'll do and starts acting the way he expects me to want him to act and then I don't notice and get married but he doesn't like me specifically, he just didn't dislike me and I happened to be there, so we spend our days solving the normal issues that show up until we burn out of this and start fighting about dishes and the kid's behavior, nothing truly bad, but since he never liked me specifically, the mundane kinda sucks and we'll be told all marriages are like that because taking care of a house and raising kids is hard by itself and we'll to believe that the dishes and the time it takes to get ready to mass really are to blame and we never solve anything and we really start to believe this is how things goes and I'm just feeling sad because I have too high ideals for happiness and I should just accept that arguing about the washing machine will just be part of my routine now and other woman have it so much worse, it's just the washing machine
I don't know who needs to hear this, but the magic ratio for ganache (a firm one, such as you would use to make truffles or enrobe a cake) is 1 tablespoon of heavy cream per one ounce of chocolate. Chop the chocolate (or use chips), then boil the cream, immediately pour it over the chocolate, and whisk until smooth. People get so impressed whenever I make ganache but it is literally so easy. When it's freshly made you can dip fruit or cookies in it or use it to fill doughnuts, and if you let it cool and harden somewhat you can roll spoonfuls into balls to make truffles or use it as a filling for sandwich cookies. Also if you're feeling gremlinous you can just eat it with a spoon.
Important addendum I discovered last year: the above is the magic ratio specifically if you are using dark chocolate (which I always was because it's my favorite). The process is the same, but for milk chocolate the ratio is 1 tablespoon of heavy cream per 1.5oz of chocolate and for white chocolate it's 1 tablespoon of heavy cream per 2oz of chocolate. This is because milk and white chocolate have less chocolate per chocolate so they behave differently. Now you know. Go forth and make delicious ganaches.

accidentally let slip "you will be buried in my pyramid when I die" to a coworker last week btw
Current consideration:
Mimicry has no choice but to be static, contrasting it to the real thing which is always changing

everybody in the notes like:
This is the single best video of a loon I've ever seen. Do you people realize how rare it is to see them that close? How rare it is to see them in that shallow of water? Incredible catch.
I can never go too long without drawing these dudes

With all the AI stuff, it's really strange to watch all of society give up So much for the sake of something that only kind of works
There's something kind of illuminating about it with regards to human nature, but I'm not sure how to communicate it yet
Idk what kind of stuff they have AI doing in private sectors, but I'm repeatedly underwhelmed by anything it does in public sectors. Like somehow the Best thing it can do is image generation (in terms of accuracy/quality) and everything else is kind of downhill from there...
And instead of trying to be measured in how to advance the tech to a workable state, it's all just salesmen trying to over promise, so all these resources flood into this vacuum of value all at once...
My work is presently working with getting an AI software developed for use, and the people working on it said '70% accuracy would be good enough' (it won't be), and it's just a marvel... that's literally the best you can even hope for?
This is what we're giving up water quality for??? And other potential long term impacts???
Why? What is actually wrong with everyone who's working hard to see this achieve a large scale??
My toxic trait is that if I find a product I like I want to keep using the same product forever. It's not even brand loyalty. It's called stop changing and discontinuing everything.
