Q: Name your greatest passions in 3 little wordsâŚ
A: 1. Food always comes first! I grew up behind the Iron Curtain, with rationed food at best, or a less-than steady diet of potatoes during the winter. Â Immigrating to Montreal after The Wall came down, and later to Texas, introduced me to an incredible world of ethnic cuisine, which further fuelled my appetite for travel, adventure, and discovery - gastronomic and otherwise. I have become an avid foodie who will not shy away from tasting anything, anywhere. In a perfect world, I would be a food critic, paid to travel the world to eat, photograph, and write about it.
2. Photography. I consider myself extremely fortunate to be able to make a career out of one of my passions. I enjoy most kinds of photography, as long as it doesnât involve my waiting for 5 hours, motionless, in a hide, for some critter to come along. I tend to gravitate towards dynamic subjects and styles.
3. House renovations. I love the feeling of accomplishment, as well as the mind-clearing power of laying hardwood flooring, gutting and rebuilding a kitchen, or simply painting the walls.
Q: You can have a date with any vintage icon. Who is it?
A: It would have to be one of two: handsome and mysterious, or playful and exuberant : Gregory Peck circa âRoman Holidayâ, or Gene Kelly, anytime :). If I could go on a date with a lady, it is always Audrey :)
Q: Favourite wedding location â city, seaside or country?
A:Â Anywhere, as long as itâs snowing!

A:Â On late nights, your partner goes to sleep on your side of the bed so your side is nice and warm for you later, when you go to bed.

I believe true feelings and emotion cannot be faked for the camera. I employ a non-intrusive approach in every one of my sessions, with a belief that if everyone has fun, the results will be lovely. The romance is always there, and my job is to anticipate and capture it in a way that will look real for years down the line. This is why I limit posing during my sessions, eliminating the camera fright even the most confident people can experience on their wedding day. I strive to work in a manner which allows the couples to let their guard down and enjoy themselves, a kind of  âIâm here, but Iâm not really hereâ approach. Unless I feel the need to tell the bride ten times that day how much I absolutely love her dress/shoes/accessories :).
I also think I have the ability to recognise and capture beauty, elegance, colour, and structure in the smallest details, often overlooked by others.
Step back in time! Which 20th century vintage era do you visit? And why?Hmmm, tough call between the 40s, 50s, and 60s. I love the structured elegance and flawlessness of the 40s, the colours and shapes of the 50s, and the freedom offered by minis and pixie cuts during the mod years. It would have to depend on my mood that day :).

Tell us a personal story about following your heart or making a big commitment?
The decision to change careers from robotics engineering to social photography. Although very scary to go from a corporate technical environment to creative freelancing, I never looked back! The best decision Iâve ever made.
Inspire us! Can you share any exciting trends or precious tips to help with wedding planning?
Donât give in to other peopleâs ideas for your wedding day if you donât agree with them - Â itâs your day to do as you please. And of course, bring a pair of sensible shoes for later in the day for fun and dancing!!
