The year is 2077. It’s been almost a year since Overwatch has recalled, and with only a scarce amount of people responding to Overwatch’s recall, Dr. Ziegler stepped up as acting commander in the hopes of steering the organization to a brighter future. They have found sanctity in the new League of Nations– an organization of the world’s city states to stand up against the UN. Vatican City, Singapore, Hong Kong, Gibraltar, and others, all cooperating together to support the new Overwatch to the best of their ability.

But then a seemingly freak incident occurred in Cairo, Egypt– A mysterious outbreak of an unknown illness that is capable of killing just as much as it is infecting. No known vaccines have been able to stop it, and the doctors in Dr. Ziegler’s Cairo team have called for aid.

This same illness has seemed to have crept into Talon’s ranks– already killing several dozen footsoldiers, and rendering many more too weak to operate. Those with cybernetic augmentations seem to somehow have some sort of resistance, and omnics are immune.
