koko certainly did sound curious, but not without a bit of concern blended in. she was aware of what he does and he was capable to taking care of himself, but given how… aggressive he can get, it warranted some questioning. 

“ I need maintenance whenever it calls for it. In other words, I can go pretty far without it if I’m careful. ”

Well, pretty far is ignoring the fact that Vile has to regularly maintain his ammunition at the very least. Though ammunition for Vile works differently than the traditional user of armaments. His is based off of a careful balance of energy usage, though these days, Vile’s managed to neglect this so-called balance, instead risking his internal systems even more. How very him.

“ I’ll admit though: Sometimes I have a tendency to overdo it. ”

“ Would you believe me if I said I HATE it because of someone? ”

Rarely did any recovery missions she decided to do on her own end up being uneventful, so when Alia felt the chilling sense that she was not alone at the formerly Maverick controlled facility, she was less than surprised. 

‘Why can’t I ever just gather data in peace?’, she thought to herself.

The reploid sighed, took a deep breath and turned around with her buster at the ready.

Oh, of course it was going to be him.

“Just because I’m alone doesn’t mean I won’t put up a fight, Vile.”

There always was an up and a down to flying solo, a pro and a con. Having said his goodbyes to the Maverick Hunter job long ago, Vile stood on a thin red line between Maverick and not. Well, in his eyes at least. To them, ALL of them, he was no better than the next Maverick. He knew what he was, and he knew they’d never understand. Not that Vile needed them to; in fact, all he needed from them was to get out of his way. ( And maybe die along the way too. )

Unfortunately for him, this little attempt to scavenge for something worthwhile, be it for personal use or for profit, was already tits up. All because the Hunters’ favorite little navigator had to be up to SOMETHING. Training his line of sight to his undesired company, Vile already had half a mind to take aim with the cannon attached to his weapons backpack. Of course, for better or for worse, he refrains. For now.
