IMPORTANT:
my inbox is always open for chatting, but by default, i do not take requests.
this blog is SFW. i make stupid jokes sometimes but at the end of the day, there's a limit. nothing explicit here
lots of headcanon/personal canon
do not ever request: constructicons/prowl, onslaught/blast off, (more TBA). i don't mind if you ship these, i just won't write or draw them the way you want.
i don't do DNIs. any blocking is entirely based on your personal conduct.

Transformers: Resonance
In the Earth year 202X, a lone boy discovers the Ark's crash site and accidentally reactivates its stasis-locked inhabitants. Friend and foe alike are reformatted and rise again, marking the end of the Era of Silence.
...
Far off in space, Hot Spot discovers by chance the Enigma of Combination, despite it long being thought to be a mere myth. With High Command back online, a group is assembled to escort the powerful Enigma to Earth and into the waiting hands of Optimus Prime - a group quickly nicknamed the Protectobots.
The conditions for success are simple: keep the Enigma in friendly hands and provide backup to the meager Earth forces. But when the Enigma of Combination is activated for the first time in recorded history, the mission becomes a lot more than what the so-called Protectobots signed up for...
surprise (not really)! i also have a fan continuity! it's not... too story or theme heavy (as in i just did whatever and ran with it) but it's my precious little side project 🤍
you'll see any posts related to it tagged as #tf resonance

Team Relations (and other relevant issues)
a g1 cartoon-adjacent but definitely divergent series focused mostly on combiner teams, with the main pairing being Onslaught/Scrapper
found on ao3 as co-operation and most relevant posts are tagged with #au: team relations

Walk with me here. Imagine a world where TC faked his death to leave the Deceptions. At some point, Brawl ended up alone and injured so TC picked him up. However, as a former high ranking member of the Deceptions, Thundercracker figured he’d need a disguise or else his cover would be ruined. Unfortunately, the guy doesn’t exactly have access to fancy supplies and Brawl woke up before he could come up with something better. It’s a romcom with hidden identity, forced proximity, and extra slow burn!
And it will forever live in my mind cause I suck at coming up with real stories :)
PROPAGANDA (entirely extrapolated from G1 canon/bios 😢):
"Opposites attract! Scrapper is modest and a hands-on leader, while Onslaught is very prideful and hands-off. Scrapper is sociable and leads the Constructicons as one, while Onslaught is without a doubt the Combaticon commander, with a distinct authority over his team. However, they’re both intelligent enough to let their opposing traits balance each other out. So different, but also so similar in terms of being leaders with (relatively more???) common sense.
Sure, Scrapper may not be Onslaught’s match in the field of military strategy, but he’s a specialist in his own line of work—plus given that Devastator has been around longer than Bruticus, there are plenty of things Scrapper knows about combination that Onslaught doesn’t, and that’s grounds enough for mutual respect. Which is the important part.
Besides, it’s cute to imagine how these contrasting personalities work together. Onslaught brings out a part of Scrapper that is willing to be selfish, and Scrapper brings out a softer side to the war-oriented Onslaught. When Onslaught’s temper flares up, Scrapper can withstand it and calm him down without letting Onslaught walk over him.
(If you want angst, I promise there’s plenty of room for that too.)"
ART PROPAGANDA (there is SO much i want to share but i’m narrowing it down to two):

when the combaticons fought alongside/adjacent to the protectobots in one of their previous early-war contracts they had an ever-present tension where both parties were aware the combaticons were only in it for the money. post-megatron's death it becomes a lingering kind-of gag about payment because the protectobots and combaticons know that the combaticons don't really have anyone else willing to hire them/nowhere else to go (and even then whatever agreement they have with the Autobot is VERY fragile and disadvantages the combaticons) and therefore are taking much less pay than they might normally demand.
hot spot doesn't participate in the ribbing (and the rest of the protectobots don't tease about pay in front of onslaught) because it hits too close to... something for both of them (esp the 'their relationship was never genuine and always dictated by the money).
i have a question, did you look into my brain (/silly) or have i posted about this before bc this is exactly how i feel about it (maybe i've posted about it before, now that i think about it...?)
i think for onslaught and hot spot, the reason things are more complicated than just pure innate loathing is a matter of the qualities they see in each other.
when they work together, they perfectly balance each other out - hot spot who gets right into the thick of things versus onslaught who only gets his hands dirty when worst comes to worst. passionate and instinct-based hot spot who's cooled down by think-first, always-has-a-plan onslaught. if it weren't for their morals, i think they could do great things together (i'm a very gestalt-centric person as we all know, so i've always liked them as this kind of rival more than the ever-famous OP-megatron rivalry). but they don't really see it that way? not anymore at least.
like yeah, when they worked together early in the war, they knew from the start that the alliance was on a payment basis. but i've always had this idea where hot spot got a tiny dash of hope that he probably shouldn't have. whether it was from seeing the combaticons work together as a team (and though they wouldn't have been a gestalt at the time, it's one of those things that resonates with hot spot as a leader), or from just collaborating with onslaught and - between their disagreements - sensing some kind of camaraderie forming naturally. and though he was skeptical of the combaticons at first, he starts to loosen up on that...
juuust for his team's suspicions to be proven right in the end lol. (well, it isn't that the combaticons are incapable of emotion and camaraderie, but they are self-serving - that's just the reality of it.) and hot spot isn't eager to make that same mistake again.
so. polar opposites. the qualities that they once could have respected in one another are also among the reasons they don't like each other - hot spot's fiery dedication and energy equates to self-righteous recklessness (in onslaught's eyes), whilst onslaught's incredible foresight and diligence loops back around to arrogance and tunnel vision (in hot spot's eyes). the fact that there are any respectable qualities at all in the other person also is infuriating, because the nature of their two lines of work are complete opposites, and that is where a lot of the disagreements in general came from.
there's also the fact that the protectobots - as a rescue team - probably end up having to clean up the messes left by the combaticons after a battle, but. you know.
anyway! in general, i imagine most of the ribbing comes from streetwise and blades. groove and first aid would be the most hurt by a betrayal (due to their strong senses of empathy/compassion) but that's also probably why they're most open to the idea of giving the combaticons a chance, and that means not poking too hard at their buttons. maybe.
though, honestly - just bc of how decepticon and autobot soldier culture is - if we want to see history repeat itself... the rude jokes and teasing might become a form of respect/camaraderie over time, depending on how long the combaticons are stuck with the autobots. the leaders might be adamant about not getting too attached, but the other four protectobots are 75% naturally friendly people and the combaticons are good at detaching themselves, so they aren't really gonna listen anyway.
...
also. i know that the reason for brawl's character development in TAAO had a lot of prior conditions/context to it, but this is kind of what i meant about uncomfortable truths in a previous post i think. like, unwillingly learning something in a place where you never think you'd find it, and that affects how you want to go forward. idk food for thought bc im definitely not the only person who loves shoving the pbots and combaticons into one space and forcing them to work together
alright give me the run down of aotp onslaught I've been wondering if I should get him but his legs and feet throw me off lowkey
hi beloved mutual!! ok idk what aspects are the most important here so i'll just be giving my own opinion
aesthetics-wise i don't really have any issue with him. the feet being the way they are looks funny to me but honestly i think they're just there for balance, he can stand without them (giving him more of the usual g1 boot shape) but the big floppers in the back help since he's kind of top-heavy LOL.
transformation-wise his turret gives me a LOT of trouble but that's mostly a me being bad at transforming toys things. in general i had a lot of issues with his Everything being stiff as fuck at the start but probably better than loose joints? + he's new anyway so can't give him too much shit for it. (i'm also weak which is kind of an issue on my part, i just don't want to break him aksjfksdf)
i also have the same complaint that everyone does which is "for 100 dollars, he doesn't even come with his own weapon." like i get that he's got the ENTIRE bruticus skeleton frame and that comes with the big gun mode, but it just means that solo posing is kind of underwhelming... i don't have big enough of a collection to supplement him with someone else's gun unless i give him scrapper's accessories or something
overall though i enjoy him, except for my minor complaints he's everything i could want in a g1-accurate onslaught. ESPECIALLY the vehicle mode has been really fun to play with (though everyone knows i've been looking forward to him specifically for that lol)
